Downloaded the high resolution vid- 4 mins- great great vid... it wsan't as long or at lesat do to my anticipation and eagerness didn't fell that long :D :lol: sereiously.. everyone must see it... definately woth the download... the khaak threat sure look mean and scary :twisted: :twisted: :lol: 8) can't wait... hope they aren't organics.. like species 8472 :? on star trek.... I want one of those ships...... :twisted: :roll:

Man I was stunned when I saw those corcscrew things on the boron capital ships turning....Awesome !!!!!!!
And for the Khaak....spooky dudes.....they will make the Xuniverse a whole different place to be me thinks.
And did you guys see the turning radar thingies on top of the fighters ?
And did ya see.....and <gulp> aaargh I want X2 now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the explosions were a bit naff. Laser fire too.....err....pretty and colourful. Music was weak too - hope the full score will be much more atmospheric. Otherwise it looks good so far! :mrgreen:

I downloaded the smaller of the two (only have dialup so I'll wait for the high quality on a mag coverdisk) and must admit I was nicely impressed with what I was seeing, especially as it was all in-game footage and not a pre-rendered video which can mislead some people into thinking that the video is a representation of the quality of the game.

I'll wait to see it in the full high quality version before I pass full criticism on it but I will agree with you on one point - the explosions did look slightly weak and out-of-place to the rest of the action going off.

Just me two-penneth. :fg:

Nice to see something after waiting a while for news.

Also realised when watching the video that that was where CJ must have got some of his screenshots from as a lot were very familiar. :D :D :D

thanks to all who made/contributed to the movie! :) :)

i love the music, its so dam GREAT!

must admit the fight scenes ended a bit quick, but im thinking it may be due to editing/speeding up of the video to keep size down??

anyways, im salivating as i type :D

WOW...I'm at a lose as to what to say.

WOW realy sum's it up.

I love it, I want it now.

BRB I'm gonna watch it again. :) Full screen this time.

I don't mind the explosion's at all, And I like the way the Capital ships break up.

I'm guessing that we see the new Argone One at the end there too.

The Boron twisty tail thing :)

The Twisty Khaak capital ships :)

The Shadow's, the Nebula, The arcing gun things (Maybe Missiles).

What are you using to play it in slo-mo then, I have Div-x PLayer, and WMP both will play it, neither have sko-mo, or even frame advance tho'

I thought the music had changed (deeper sounding) more ominous it is one of the most important parts of the X series so i wouldn't want it to change very much 8)

I had only one complaint about it--the beam weapons didn't look anything like as chunky and menacing as the ones in Freespace 2 (or Haegemonia, for that matter). As for everything else, I was just dumbstruck--I tell you, I am going to cry if I can't run this game at full detail on my PC!

Would be interesting to see what they look like closer up when you're piloting something as 'fragile' as a Discoverer. Maybe they'll be a bit more menacing then? :)
