Another newbie question.
I don't know if this is in the manual or not but since I can not read my manual (it's in german), here goes.
What does it mean when my rating with a species has an [L] at the end?

wow thanks!
Quick replies! Thanks guys!
Oh, no factories yet. I'm only up to a couple of million credits or so. I'm still working on my capturing technique, and getting paranid and split to allow me to dock at their bases. I'm not sure what factories I'll set up first.

That capturing technique is still a little difficult, but I haven't tried it a lot yet. The only ship I captured so far is a Goner Ship and I used a Boron Octopuss for that.
Oh, here is a good tip. When the pilot bails out and you want to sell him/her as a slave to the pirates, do not forget to install a life support system in your ship. I did and the pilot died
I am more in the trade bussines myself. I have the title Mogul. (I think that's how you spell it)

Re: Another newbie question.
There is one other thing with the Licenses that you buy from the various races. It's inevitable that you are going to lose a license occasionally. It doesn't take much. Hit a race's ship or factory with a stray shot and the license is gone. You don't get notified when this occurs, but there is an entry in the pilot log.Paradigm wrote:I don't know if this is in the manual or not but since I can not read my manual (it's in german), here goes.

It's happened to me more times than I care to mention. There's nothing for it but to go back to one of that race's trading stations and buy another license.
The new PC I just built for myself:
i5-13600k, 32GB DDR5 RAM, RTX 3060 12GB
It'll do until I can upgrade the graphics card.

Pirate Astronauts....
...must die! I can't be bothered with some silly cargo life support system (MUHAHAHAH!). Seriously though, I usually hunt pirates in Split or Paranid sectors, and every kill gets me a little bit more faction with them. At least now I can trade with everyone.

the best way to become friend with a race is to build factories in their systems that takes alot of resources (like HEPT forges). i have three hornet missile factories in paranid prime and my rating goes up 5% in half an hour. and i i'm not even selling the hornets (they goes to my "Special Operations Command" ship, an argon TL
)
