Bad news radio off :-(

sorry guys the radio is off i just restarted my system i busted my sound card but got it fix now. i have to download everything again! :(

you never believe what happened. After 5 mins of posting the above message.

My supposedly permanent 1 mb/s connection "dropped" leading me to a 10 min chat with a technical afviser who finally said reboot everything( which i had done) but also disconnect the modem power as well.

:lol:

He says they sometimes to "drop" and it may be a bug in my system (cheeky bugger)

god damn jinx :)

Actually Rock - you're on Cable BB, right? If so, power-cycling (unplugging and re-plugging) the modem will sometimes convince Windows that it has been "re-connected" to the network and cause it to renew an IP again. So, however cheeky, he's right.

I had to reboot and repower my modem to get a new IP address.

BTW how is my space getting on?
