Weeds
Tall and grey, dark and menacing.
Standing tall, taking over, growing
Everywhere. No place is safe.
They break through concrete.
Brandishing spiky tops, blocking out sunlight
Sun in the stream extinguished
Replaced by metal carcasses.
Glass and smog, smashed across the ground
Dead homeless in back alleys
Broken cars, rapes, murders,
Deaths, crashes, burning and
Torture. Urban paradise.
Fat ugly men eating burgers
Paving the way with ‘m’ marked
Papers and boxes.
Knives under coats.
Guns over them. Bang and bang,
Don’t walk in my park
It’s not even mine, I just want to
Kill you.
Oh look, lets rob that old lady,
And burgle her house!
She has black eyes and broken bones
It’s hilarious.
Yes it’s urban paradise.
Launch fireworks
Through letterboxes.
We are only having fun!
Boom boom boom
Down the road, in an abused
Oil burning wreck of a car,
Let them all hear you beats
And all the time the giant
Grey weeds stand tall
Watching the lonely masses
Go about life in urban paradise.
