Stats & Options:
*Station is hidden & innately FOE - Note#1
*Severe modification of your current ship through missions - Note#2
*Ability to supertune your current ship - Note#3
Eventual Stats & Options:
**Obtain a "Super Ship" through missions which is severely upgraded and can handle any weapons - Note#4
**Obtain a M0 through missions - Note#5
Notes:
#1 - The station will be hackable in the traditional Pirate BBS manner. Also, if I can get LVs permission to add his hacking command console -Script- to this, i have been working on a "Hack Station" addition to it that would allow you to attempt to hack your relation with a station from your ship within a certain distance. I would like to also create some Pirate BBS missions that would potentially allow you access to this new station.
#2 - I have seen that almost every ship in the original X2 universe has had a more "hotrod" looking version of itself created by the talented modellers we have prowling the boards. I would like to set up one "hotrod" version of each of the original m5s, m4s, m3s, TPs, TSs and potentially M6s with upgraded stats and models. The idea here is not that you will gain a new ship, but that your current ship will be altered quite a bit. The missions that you will need to complete to alter your current ship will likely be capture missions which will vary based on the ship you want altered(your current ship). Say you fly up in your Disco and tell them, "I would like to modify this ship". The response would be, "OK. Go capture us two m5 Argon Discoverers & have them dock with us. One will be used for the extra parts to alter your ship & the Second will cover the cost of modification". I definitely wanted to use ships as a form of currency as this IS a chop shop. The requirements would be different for each type of ship. An M3 would require more captured ships, the race type of the ship would alter which M3 you would need to capture, and so on.
#3 - Each ship type will be scripted with a certain possible range for Rudder and Engine optimizations. The upgrade will be a random value within these "supertune" ranges. These ranges will be reasonable, based on the ship type and only allowed once per ship(to eliminate extreme unbalancing) As an example, an m5 would have a larger potential for supertuning it's engines then an m3 as the m5 is an exploration vehicle. The m3 on the other hand might have a better potential for Rudder tuning for those tight dog fights. The supertuning potential of all "Hotrod" ships will be higher than standard X2 ships. Unfortunately the Cargo Extensions seem to be hard coded so I won't be able to include that option

#4 - What I am thinking of here could potentially double the number of ships I need to add, for what will wind up being one ship in the game so I haven't decided if I will bother. Basically a series of eXtreme missions that will give you a super m3, m4, m5, TS or TP. The ship you would obtain would have a higher capacity for speed and turning than any of the other ships mentioned previously(nothing insane, but definitely noticeable). The cargo capacity and generator would be largely increased. The shield capacity would be up to one 125MW shield. The ability to carry all weapons up to at least the BPSG, maybe the GPSG, probably including IonDs & MDs and probably excluding the PPCs. Haven't decided whether the base stats for each ship type will be the same or slightly different. You will only be able to own one of these at any given time, but there will be a series of missions you can take to change models.
#5 - There are so many beautiful Capitol ships that have been created, and some of them with the M0 in mind. I'd eventually like to create a mission series that would allow you to obtain one. Maybe a choice between a few, but only owning one at a time.
General notes:
This is a mod I plan on developing(just you know i am not trying to be selfish by asking someone else to create this for me). My personal modding baby, if you will.

If only there were a way to dynamically change the Tships & x2story.obj through the -Script- editor it would eliminate the need to fill up so many of the additional ship slots innately.
Please feel free to comment ask questions or generally shoot down any of the ideas you see above.
