Awesome, thanks for the vanilla savegame, so happy it's not because of my pack! :D

After every installation of LU, you have to say three "Ave Litcube" and ten "Pater Noster".

Now the entire world can see how I build empires... like the heroic use of lasertowers to repel OCV invasions

So yeah, I can't use more than 30 DAs on my HQs. Perhaps I should scrap all of them which aren't already Snotras and use these little toys instead. Anyway it's a game where I won basically because of unlimited resources. So when comes 1.6.0 so that I can start a new game? ;)

So I have pulled some things out of cad's extra ship pack since he is turning it over to the younger gen, basically porting over some goodies and making them play nicely. Including the Xtra-turrets and placing them on the ships in LU, was wondering if any one would be interested in using this as well or should I not bother uploading.

PS. I do not want to make LU unhappy :D

So, after discussing this with the team, here's the verdict on Dock Agents:

As of 1.6.0: 10 agents per dock.

Originally, DAs were designed to sell the crap that the reaper quick shuttles brought back from a battlefield.

The dock agents were never intended to be used en mass like everyone does. Meaning, they are not efficient when run a bunch at a time. They also "buy" now, which they never did on conception. Buy wasn't something I wanted, but I put in there because some people whined. So now DAs do @%$#$ing everything and also have to coordinate massive N^2 loops with every other ship.

There's not a lot I can do to streamline it. This isn't C++ I'm dealing with here.

Some of you are using dock agents to sell wares that would be better sold by station agents at their original station. For example, e-cells. SAs are better designed to do this. They are more efficient.

For items that have large cycle times, sure throw them at a dock agent. For small cycle times and high loads, dock agent isn't your guy.

I can't see more than 10 being required, even if you threw all of your missiles, shields, and guns at them. If you need more than 10, buy another dock.

It's possible another solution will pop up, but for now, this is it.

Wow... now I have the feeling I should have sleeping dogs lie...

Anyway, I also found a problem with the EI package 2.2.5:
I installed the EI package 2.2.5 and exported my game, then reimported it to a fresh LU 1.5.2 install. Here I encountered a problem: I'm at reputation 9 with the Pirates, but after the import, they are hostile to me and attacking my property! Before the EI, they all were friendly to me!

Compared to the Boron ED, it is inferior: They only differ by their docking capacities and the price. While both of them can dock an unlimited number of small and medium ships, the Boron ED can also dock two capital ships. Looking at the price, the OTAS dock is also worse: it costs 78.9 million, while the Boron ED costs only 48.7 million credits.

So please answer me, am I missing something?
I asked the very same question about a year ago, still waiting for an answer :(
Well then I assume the OTAS McCallum dock is just a noob trap and it's safe to ignore. :)

You still need to grind rep with the Boron to at least 6-7 to buy the dock. I think the same goes for the Argon Rep to get the McCallum version.

So if you decide to play through as pure Split, Paranid or Teladi using only their stations and ships, you have to play smarter and work around the disadvantages.

Above all remember, it's not your universe you are playing in :)

Emergency jump always goes to gates even with Quantum Jumpgate Extension, which means that capital ships retreating in quick succession typically sit by and do nothing until the gate is clear. That has really bad results in OCV defence/counterattack.

LU 1.5.2 + SIaF 7r5

EDIT:
* (-) Changed: Agents will only buy drones within jump range, you entitled, whiny millennial

I wanted to help my DAs to get rid of all the excessive wares in my HQ, so I bought a TL and loaded it with all this stuff. I did this once before, which resulted in a selling price of 1.6 billion credits for the TL. Now I wanted to repeat this, but I can't sell the TL - it is docked at a shipyard and there is no option to sell it. I strongly suspect that is because it is now worth more than INT32_MAX credits.

I bought a second TL and transfered some wares over so that the price is under the 2 billion mark. This works! In total, my TL had wares worth over 4 billion credits in its cargo hold. No wonder the game has a slight problem with that. :D

Just out of curiosity, has Egosoft hired you on as project director for the next X game yet, Litcube? Because they really, really should.
Someone please make a transaction history mod. Please. (I'm begging you.)

I'm glad you brought it up. I've known about the issue for a long time. In fact, someone reported it back in 2014, but I might have missed it. I'
m pretty sure the hard 10 limit might not be the final answer. In fact, I slept on a few other options.

I will re-evaluate the dock prices.

Glad to hear it, I'm sure you will find an efficient solution. :)

I have another problem to report: I'm now mass producing Split Ocelots. After watching my first pair of them in battles, I noticed they don't fire their front turrets. To verify this, I piloted one by myself and mounted different weapons in each one of the six turrets so I can distinguish them, then switched cockpits with F1. The right, left, back, up and down turrets are able fire, but the front turret can't. Surely there is just a cockpit position wrong. Any chance this will get fixed for 1.6.0?

This mod is a race against the clock, you have to fight Phannon and OCV expension.
You'll want to optimize your time. It's not that hard, but not made for you to run it in SETA unattended.

LU creates two enemies which grow stronger over time, but this process is quite slow. If you still feel too much pressure, you can disable and enable them anytime you want in the game options.
