I think it's possible.

The XI code (KC coded) uses the systems owner race for selecting 'who' to send the message from. You'd have to add some text to the 1375 PID, in the same manner as the current text, to catch this issue, it'd be 10xxx for the player, and 4xxx for the Paranid (the P's aren't near any Xenon Sectors to spawn a XI mission).

I'm running XTM, and i would love to try out RRF - it sounds like it'd be awesome, with mega-fleet battles everywhere and stuff :)

But I have a couple questions.

I installed version 1.0, then upgraded directly to 2.5. I then installed the xtended mod immediately afterwards. I want to install the Race Response mod for the awesome fleet battles, but when I do the Cycrowe installer says it is for Reunion 2.0 and Bala Gi, and may not work.

Should I ignore this and try it anyways? What sort of bugs would I encounter? I'm very new to the game and I don't want to lose my save - 2 million credits may be chump change to some people, but to a poor boy like me it's major cash that took a long time to get :)

Anyone know which script introduces a kill the hacker BBS Mission?

Hey, I had something rather odd happen to me and I've spent the last hour figuring out what caused it...

I lost one of my utility discos in Profit Share. That's not usually much of a problem, but the message said that it was destroyed by 'unknown object' which piqued my interest, so I reloaded to watch it...it just disappeared without cause; which I found highly alarming. I re-loaded again and jumped in sector this time at which point my jumpdrive auto-activated for some reason; I quickly deactivated it thinking that I had pressed the button accidentally and flew over to follow my disco. Before my own eyes while in sector the disco just disappeared and then I got the death message!

Vexed, I reloaded again, and the auto-jump happened again...This time I was certain that I hadnt pressed anything so I checked the info on my ship while the jumpdrive spooled up. As expected it said that I had no autopilot commands active. Jump finishes and I appear in the center of a xenon sector I haven't even found yet surrounded by about 30 xenon ships...I die horribly and reload.

Long story short: after reloading many times it seems that every time I jump into the east gate of profit share I get auto-jumped to the center of a random xenon sector, whether or not I've found it or even have the energy cells to get there. This happens for all of my save games except my 3 or 4 oldest, which happen to be about 4 hours old.

The only thing that I can think of is that I remember doing a BBS mission to take out a hacker that was piloting a khaak cluster of all things...I attacked the cluster and got absolutely no response, it just sat there and died. I was never paid for completing the mission.

I just thought that the mission was bugged and that was the end of it but it now seems that the only saves that dont result with me in the middle of a xenon sector after jumping to profit share are those from before I took that mission. As a result I think my troubles stem directly from it...

I think the concept is awesome, personally, but I see no way of rectifying it in game and so was just curious if anyone knew what script introduced this BBS mission so that I can read up on whether or not there's any way to fix my little problem...

This is from LV's Race Response Fleets. I've never quite figured out how to complete these missions, as every time I get near the hacker, he just activates my jumpdrive (and even if I don't have one, or energy cells, he transports them over and does it anyway...) and sends me off to a Xenon sector. If I deactivate the jumpdrive before it completes, his ship's name has changes, and he's somehow managed to disappear and reappear in another location within the same sector. So I have no idea how the heck to complete this mission.

But post the question in LV's RRF actual topic, maybe he might tell you what the heck you're supposed to do.

I actually came across another BBS message that pointed towards a teladi museum...once I found it things became clear.

Now I just have to find the hacker that I thought I killed 2 days ago >.>

Killed the hacker \o/

Took some doing considering he had some crazy shield recharge, but I heartily approve of the whole mission design =)

Now then, w/ respect to RRF...Anyone know how to change the difficulty after the initial install? I want to try out warlord but I dont see any hotkeys for it and when I turn off the AL settings, wait for the messages, and turn them back on all it says is that RRF has been updated, I never get any configuration options :-\

I'm playing a game with the plot enabled. Unfortunately I found out to late that RRF 1.7 tampers with the Argon One and hijacks it. Now the ship is gone and I'm stuck and can't continue with the story line. :cry:

I really don't want to start over again. Is there a solution to this problem? How can I bring back the Argon One?

I have the german version of X3.

In combination with XTM this script is extremely laggy. You can tell by turning on seta. Without XTM it runs smoothly.

I have another problem with XTM.

RRF takes control of XTM plot ships and in one mission when one of the converted plotships takes enough damage it jumps and the game crashes.

I already tried out his Redux 1.7.2 version and it brings back the Argon One but unfortunately there is no Ban Danna on board. :cry:

I have written a fix script but you will need to test as i don't know how the game tags A1 as in my load the pilot name was not Ban Danna

the script below will create another Argon One (english version only) and maybe fix but you will have to tell me

save game locked up b/c I had beta 5 and then installed latest rrf 1.7

Both were there. 1.5 was installed. Wierd thing was that 1.7 redux showed up when I enabled rrf in game. Running xtended. I uninstalled rrf 1.7 from cyrow script installer. Made sure rrf 1.5 was running. Then reloaded my game. It is locked up. Grr. Help! Is there any hope?

Hi LV,
I have a problem with a BBS mission, that possiby came from RFF script.
Its the one, where you must join the xenon invasion force of one of the main races. I had to go to the teladi shipyard. The firs time i was too late, got a message that the invasion force was destoyed. I loaded, P2P jumped to teladi shipyard docked and got a message... Well there's the problem: the message reads: ReadText 84256 (some number, cant remember); and thats it.
I went to that xenon sector, but there was no attack force.

Im actualy not sure that this came from RFF.
Im running XTM with ashley's fabs and your RFF script.

Is there anyway i can solve my problem?
