'Er, excuse me,' said Ford, following after him, 'which government owns this Brigantine?'
Marvin ignored him.
'Which government...' started Ford Prefect again.
'No government owns it,' snapped the robot, 'it's been stolen.'
'Stolen?'
'Stolen?' mimicked Marvin.
'By who?' asked Ford.
'Squiddy McSquid.'

A blaze of glory...

The world is a little duller today with the passing of our favourite Squid. Your journey was epic, your deeds many, daring and dastardly, your telling of them masterful.

Thank you.

i've refrained from posting because wading through 'me-too!' spam to get to the real good stuff is annoying and i didn't want to contribute to it, but sad to see it end this way - masterful game, through and through. I hope you give it another go (preferably in a locked thread that only you can post in...)

*sob*!
*tear*

Alas for poor Squiddy. Long he held out against the minions of the grim Reaper, but the inevitable was, sadly, erm... inevitable.

Thanks NUKLEAR-SLUG for a wonderful story, and congratulations on keeping us hanging on for so long and teaching us so much about this game in the process.

Three chear for Squiddy!

@Necrosexual ...naah, Borons are never too young to die. Young borons are excellently for fishsticks. :fg:
..That's possibily the reason why he was attacked in the first place. :D

I've been a big fan of Squidy and thoroughly enjoyed reading his adventures. You have a great way of writing Slug and I do hope you do another. Thanks!

Thank you N-S - brilliant read and, as has been commented many times - very educational :)

As has already been commented, this should most definitely be combined into a single story (minus most of the posts from others) and sticked as a tutorial and entertaining read!

And, I think I may have to take revenge on the Split for doing this! I liked Squiddy!

Qapl'a Squiddy, you died with honour in the end. May the songs written of your actions inspire future generation of Boron to follow the path of the warrior, and bring glory to the Boron people.

DEATH TO THE COWARDLY SPLIT!
Targeting and shooting Reds at every opportunity, and the occasional blue...

Thank you for your valuable assistance, we offer you a pittance in credits, and some goodwill for you covering for our incompetent defenses.

Please cease attacking our assets!

I'm sorry to see the Squid go down in a blaze of glory like that, but it was a superb, funny thread and very informative to boot. Great work.

I suppose I'd better delete this thread from my favourites menu now.
