i do have the mod and it says kill all in the sector shipyards etc then build a Player headquar and a tradind station or equipment doct then use the command in custom i think it was well i foud them all apart from the Player headquar lol

You only get one PHQ unless you use a shipyard mod that lets you buy them - I think that the basic takeover mod (for X3:R at least) would let you take over with just a trading dock - otherwise you'd never be able to take more than one sector!

In order to claim a sector owned by another race, the player must destroy any Shipyard, Military Outpost, Equipment Dock or Trading Station in that sector that is owned by the race of that sector. Then the player must set up his/her Player headquarter, Equipment Dock or Trading station in that sector. After you've set up your Station, go to your ship menu, custom, click on "LazCorp Claim Sector".

So I think I was right - you can set up any one of PHQ, Trade dock or EQ dock in a sector to claim it. You don't need the PHQ to start taking over, any Trade dock or EQ dock will do.

Wonder how this would work with plots? I'm guessing that until you do the plots there will be certain things you cannot destroy (like the Nathan's Voyage Trade dock) because otherwise you'd not be able to complete the missions. I'm betting that a read of this thread might just have the answer in somewhere!

I'm having a bit of trouble, the plugin installer says its enabled, but theres no option for it ingame. I built a EQ dock in an unknown section but ... nadda.

If memory serves, you must have the script editor active in order to get some scripst to work.

Just rename your character to: Thereshallbewings

Make sure the T is capitalized and I'm not sure, though I believe you then have to save and reload the game, not sure though.

I am trying to use this on a xenon sector. I am able to claim it but xenon ships keep respawning everyone once in a while. Is there a way to disable the respawns?

Unfortunately I never got around to adding that feature to the script. Due to ongoing health issues I haven't been able to continue work on this script. Once I am better (after surgery) I will continue working on this script and my other ones to implement new features etc.

no problem. If I have time I might poke around and see if I can figure a solution out myself.

What approach were you going to take? I vaguely remember the X3R sector takeover mod would just periodically check to see if stations/ships had been spawned and destroy them...

Trick move made a sector takeover script quite a while ago, STO, which works quite well, taxes, destruction of god created stations, etc. It came out soon after TC was first released. Search for it.

Does this script do anything other then takeover a sector that's basically worthless to you and put you in a state of war with the race you stole it from?
Maybe you receive a tax from any NPC owned stations in your sector... Or something?

Why would you tax them?? You dont get taxed in Race sectors. I know I wouldnt want to set up shop in your sector if you taxed me. :)

I would rather not see that feature in this script.

so if you claim a races sector and go to war with them what does it do? does ur rank with them go to the lowest lvl and the only way to get it back is to increase your rank?

The script drops you ranking with the race you are attacking to the lowest level. It also makes that race hostile to you and all of your assets. You can improve race relations through normal means.
