I have to have TWO plasma engines just to keep my life support online when I listen to my on-board stereo.

And sound doesn't carry in vacuum, still some trev would try it...that's always been an amusing thing about space games to me, the fact that everything makes noise. I realise it would be preetty crap playing in complete silence (or just with music theoretically in the cabin) but still, it's wrong :P ...

IIRC one of the ST Technical Manuals says that the Enterprise has speakers that simulate the noises of battle to help the crew cope better or something like that. Probably the same thing for X-3. That's why your ship has the ability to alter the volume of sound effects. *nodnod*

I hope paint-based scripts will be easy to work with.

Queation about the Bala Missions

Are the Bala Gi missions going to be availalbe to all the game start positions( ie- Bankrupt Assasin, Merchant, etc), or are they only for the main storyline?
I've only been playing the Merchant, and have not bothered with the main storyline yet. I've been having too much fun making money :D . I'm wondering if I should start on the main storyline or not.

The BalaGi missions will be available in all game starts, plot or non-plot. Of course playing as a Kha'ak could make it quite difficult to actually accept them. ;)

Can someone answer a question for me?

Does the new update contain any fixes? More specifically, will my shark's turrets be fixed in the new update so that I can actually fire from them?

I was really depressed after playing soooooo long to get my boron rep up, then spend all that money on a carrier, only to find that the ship didn't actually work.

Yes, there are quite a few fixes in the update. I believe that non-firing turrets are among these.

Well i did a bit of a search, but it has left me more confused. I have never seen, or heard of averice until now, where the hell does it appear in the game?

Well, if you searched on 'averice', you won't get much. But if you search on 'avarice', I think you'll find over 80 threads to choose from. For example, check these out:

I don't think the dev's actually MEANT to fix anything in 2.0, I think it just happened that way :)
