Well it seems the patch seems to cover most of the bugs that people were complaining about. Hopefully NPC trader spawning and BBS missions will be resolved with future patch if they arent in 1.3.
However for me given ive got enough cash and stations the improvement in M1 and M2s and increased FPS are address my major groans

Thanks for the update, but i would rather see the BBS get overhauled than quite the few of the other fixes your doing. Guess i'm one of the few with a totally working game atm; thank the gods for the scripters.
Could the parents of the little Argon girl, Suzie, please claim her sealed jar of remains?

Is there any news on the expected size of the patch, i only ask because not everyone will have a broadband connection at their disposal.
I will wait and see if 1.3 makes a dent in the problems with the game and i really hope it does.

well I guess that was to much of a good thing. I have a wasp fac and can basically take town anything just sitting there 20k away. Oh well.- Swarm missiles rebalanced and NPC AI tweaked to allow handling of them
btw the only time my game crashes is when I press the alt-tab key (hoping this will indeed be fixed) and when I misplace a fab into a complex (hoping that will also be fixed)
also this wasnt said but I take it that the 1.2 savegames will be fully compatible with 1.3.

I know it doesn't exactly say, but if there making the plot bug fixes working in the ucrrent save games, then it would mean the old save games will be compatableThe_Abyss wrote:- Plot elements restored to working (should also be for existing saves too)

Nice, good to know what's going on.
I'll be starting anew come the patch, to avoid any glitches I've accumulated up to this point, should be a much smoother ride this time.
Thanks to all who worked on this, and all those who are testing it. Bring us the patch, then have a bloody good Xmas knees-up!

althou i would suspect that most, if not all of them will work without problem, unless there are some major changes to the script engine, which i highly doubt
however, the mods that actaully change the game files might need to be edited to work with the new updates
scripts usually just add new files rather than modifying old ones

I'm missing the Assassinationmissions in the list...why does it say trade FIGHT build and think, when fighting isnt really a way to make enough money for big ships like carriers and complexes manufactoring the needed weapons?
I tried to make my way without any trading/building stations and now the only changes affect trading -.-

remember thoes are only a few of the fixes they may be leaving out a couple as gifts, also i think the GOD engine may improve fighting, it may make cap ships be more aggresive.
Do you really think they would 'miss' the osprey and disco? especially when they are fixing things that i didnt even know were problems (ie: capped ships speed? never knew there were issues)
