These music files have to exist. It's kind of an advanced user option.

Oh well, I assumed it would simply use only the vanilla soundtracks without the EVE themes from LU. Thanks for the clarification! :D

So I started 30 minutes in, but I have yet to get the TL. Is the TL given by ascension or found in a random sector? (Can't claim sector without building an outpost first, and how do you build your first outpost?)

Be careful, however, as your game is over if the TL gets destroyed before deploying your first outpost. And it will be a very long time before you can research a TL blueprint and build another, so be careful with it :)

I've started with the power ascension and set galaxy expansion to none; however, I notice my neighbors are claiming sectors far faster than I am. What's the fastest way to complete ascension?

Thank you very much for the fixes. Now all of the text is generated correctly, the language IDs, and the file name change.

You chose the most abominable ascension. I usually complete knowledge in 1h30 without trying to rush it while power took me almost 10 hours in beta 1 (altough it should much be easier now).

- The "Trade Product Search" is sort of unuseful if it only shows that the resources you are looking for are on the outpost of a race, where you can't buy them since you can't dock there.

I've downloaded last hotfixe and... least i can say, pirates are on steroids :o They send waves of 8 to 12 M3, which is kind of big fleet in the current state of the galaxy (from scratch start). Commowealth forces manage them, but barrely (and only in the sectors monitored, which are only a marginal part of the universe). Is it working as intended ?

Btw, thank you for the addition on the administration page, it realy simplifies the management of outpost !

They now scale on the amount of sectors you have. How many do you have?

Well, so it's logical, i have 11, mostly empty but i got them to get some cash rolling. I guess i'll have to capture few M3 to muscle my defense (currently, a M6 and 5 M3, only abandonned ships) and give some shields to my TS until i'll be able to start ship production.

Edit : Astronauts are back, but, they stay hostile if the ship was, is this intended (the pirates are starting to give me a nice flow of M3, and people :D )

Mayhem 3 so far is looking good now that I know where to build, but money is very tight. How do you sell ships for money?

I also managed to get my first outpost in 5 in-game hours later, and I noticed some info on terran memories. Can I place a research station and get all the terran blueprints using one sector that has terran memory? And how fast do stations consume e-cells?

I noticed that there's no prototype/advanced/vanguard/raider/etc. variants for the main races except for pirates. Are ship variants such as eclipse prototype still obtainable?

I got to love the dilemma between picking the

jumpdrive and teleporter. Does the jumpdrive work with carriers such that all their docked ships are jumped with the carrier as well?

You can't. The only way is to recycle 50% of the resources and sell those. Many traditional money makers don't work well in Mayhem 3. For example mobile mining crystals is less profitable, boarding gets introduced later, and so on. But you also don't need money to conquer sectors anymore. Trading to make money works well. Better than before in my opinion. Get some trader workers. Also open your outposts and add the food you don't need to your export list.

Early in the game the tax perk can also balance out your costs somewhat. It's little, but reliable. Problem is you may not have that much free perk slots to spare at this point.

Speaking of the tax perk... Is there a reason why direct deposit (station command) was removed? It keep having to manually collect all my taxes when the credits are generated.

Use the station settings new menu in the personal console.

Pirates start to be a real problem in my game. There is, litterally, hundreds of them amassing in IA sectors. While exploring, in ran into two boron sector with ships count over 200. Is it possible to put a limit to the number of pirate ships that can be alive at the same time ?

My idea is this: pirates are a real nuisance. They start slow, then become a nightmare. You must destroy their bases, you cannot live with them. At some point, if you don't, you may consider your game lost, in the same way you can lose if you have your TL destroyed, or your only Outpost in early game.

I should have put a text in the mission message when you receive the TL, to warn you about how they scale with your territory. I'll do that for next version (+ a Pirate section in the encyclopedia).

EDIT: I'll probably also implement a spawning limit, for performance purposes.

Ok, i've not see this from this point of view. And an upper limit is mandatory i think, i found a sector containing 684 of them, not to say the game crashed immediatly ^^

Though, how do you plan to manage them in case of from scratch start ? IA can't manage them efficiently and is destroyed by them. In my current game, Argon, Teladi and Boron don't have any civilian ship anymore, and i think i'll have to cheat to give them some to recover frome this.
