Are there any plans to port XM-R to XRM? What work has to be done for this?

No, there won't be any port. Too much work :) I prefer to go on with my next project (which will be LU only too).

Developing on LU means that you don't really know what will work, and what won't work with X3 vanilla (or XRM). And I really don't want to make things compatible with everything ; I'm a LU 100% believer :)

All possible options are at the bottom of the file. You cannot add PP on the fly.

Is this mod compatible with the EMS mission system from LU ?

If not, in your opinion, what are the advantages of this mod over EMS ?
I am not looking for a "which is better" discussion, I want to understand the differences between the two before I install one of them.

It is compatible but I strongly not recommend using both. It would have strange consequences and will result in an imbalanced game.

EMS offers vanilla style missions with a master rule : no spawn. In XM-R, nearly all missions will spawn enemy and ally ships. XM-R also have more than missions : perk points, special stations, perk tree, hacking, arena... It's all in the description :)

So in the end I installed yours and I am having a lot of fun with it :)
Thanks for your hard work.

One note though: when you check a new mission, the "Contacting blah bla ..." message last way too long for my taste (almost 3 seconds).

In my game I modified the script to make it faster but you might consider lowering the delay to 1 second by default.

How do i know for the taxi mission how much space is required. In X3:AP it was 8M or 2S (slaves) if I am correct. I got a CLS and have docked at the ore mine where I am supposed to pick them up but I can't.

I am sitting in a discoverer hauler and shall pick up 10 passengers.

You need 6 cargo per person. So if you pick up 80 people you need 480 free cargo space. When your pick up ship is docked, open you pma and there is a line at the top that you can click to pick up the passengers.

The XM-R is really well done. It took me quite some time to fly around with only one M5 and a duplex scanner and 18.000 credits with my start to find the first missions.

Altough I am aware the EMS is not recommended with any other mission mod, i simply risked it (what did have to loose anyway on a clean start) and so far I can not tell if it works as intented - but it works - also with LU Remapped and the diverse starts in combination. More quests, more events. Simply amazing. LU is what i hoped X would be when i bough the gold box on sale.

LU with XM-R and EMS is what i only could have dreamt of.

When your pick up ship is docked, open you pma and there is a line at the top that you can click to pick up the passengers.
How do I do that. I have bound the mission agent to F4 but I am unable to open the agent when I am docked :(

Go through advanced commands menu when you are docked. Unfortunately, custom hotkeys cannot be triggered when the player is docked.

Sorry that I have to ask, i feel a bit stupid: But how would I do that and what menu do you exactly mean?

I have also installed the EMS mod - it could be a conflict not showing the advanced menu, you are referring to, but I don't even know where I would find what I need to click.

Edit: Ok i manage it. Pilot->Advanced->Script Editor->xmr.mainmenu-><R>-><null>

Is there no better way :(?

Open the command console (shift-c when hovering the ship icon), then "additional ship commands". Not "advanced commands" ; sorry it's been a while since the last time I played X :)

Aaah. It is name "Slot 1 [None]" which I did not try that, but if I click it it works. Thank you, that is WAY easier!

It's not supposed to be named like that. It has an explicit name, "Open Missions manager" if I recall correctly.

When i click on "Slot 1 [name]" i get 4 different commands, one of them the PMA :) For me it's fine, those mixups can easily be because of EMS, I am not sure where they interact.
