I was looking over this image before while researching for my own edification. General quarters isn't a place. It's a battle condition of readiness. So this image is suspect. Also, the RPG even has the Cyrannus star system wrong. See the official picture in the link below.

As for the Atlantia, there seems to be no information as to class. However, it's a good guess that she is either a standard hull of the same class as Valkyrie or one of the modified versions as seen in Razor. I am pointing this out as the result of the attack around Caprica showed many Valkyrie type hulls. also, if it wasn't stated directly, it was certainly implied that the Galactica was the last of her hull type in service.

peggy could indeed build the MK 7 viper in the show

the dazu maru is a refinary ship, so maybe it could produce energy cells?

you've already identified the manjul as a mining ship

i think the rest were passanger/cargo ships

@ TonyEvans: Music is one area I haven't really done anything with in this game at all, but is something I wouldn't mind changing but for the time being I need to get the rest sorted first. Plus copyright might be an issue(And i know a lot of BSG mods have been shut down recently).

@Spectre01: I like the look of your turret placements. One thing I could try is only placing one turret on top with guns and using the spare one as a missile turret. Ill experiment with it and see how it goes.

@longbow1: I thought I was right about the peg. I guess I could make it so it can build in small ships to make life easier unless there is another ship that built ships.

Good idea about the dazu maru. So just need a ship to make ammo and missiles. And that should be most if not all the current items having a factory ship.

Few more pictures of the script in its current state. This is easily the most complicated one I have ever made by a long margin. But its working and should add a large reason for you guys to go and hunt for the missing ships.

First screen shows the new main menu. Things are better placed etc. Lists the current resources on the ship, next list is click able to bring up the second picture (more detail below) and shows the number of missiles to be built. And the final list shows the missiles already in the cargo hold.

Second screen in the info menu, this will be used for all and every item I will allow to be made. Gets all its info for a tfile same way Mars does. Will show you how long an item takes to build plus the resouces needed to build it.

Can anyone link me to, or help me with, how automatic re-supply works? I've always seen it in the command consoles, but I can't figure out how it works. I'm using cheats to load my Vipers with like 350 kew ammo, though I'd prefer to load them with like 10-15 so they need to land, reload, restock, and go back into the fight.

Also, why not give the Battlestars repair option? Yes the flattop is nice but it's impractical to constantly shuttle ships between. I'm not opposed to it, but I like operating wings of 20+ vipers and raptors (usually about two full wings to a Battlestar, with Pegasus having 4). Thanks.

Also: My Valkyrie lighting and engines are messed up. Is that a bad file on my end or unpatched?

Valkyrie is most likely broken. It has not been looked at in a long time and is on the list for a new model when I have the time.

At the moment I will keep it to the Flattop but if it is too much of a pain the Galactica or any ship can have the script added to it.

Alright cool. And even then it's not so much a "pain" but it'd be a lot more realistic, as BSG Engineers did a lot of their maintence work on the Galactica itself.

Anyway, I think there's also a bug with undocking from the [Questionable] Daza Maru. I docked a viper to it and when I tried to undock it glitched up and I eventually had to alt-tab out to quit.

Right about the Galatica turrets it is going to be:

Cockpit guns : none
Front turret: 6 guns
Top turret : 6 guns
Bottom Turret : 6 guns
Left/right turrets: 12 guns
Missile turret :No idea how many missile tubes the ship had but will find out and model this into the model.

The cockpit guns has to be nothing to allow missile turrets to work. Its a pain but you only loss 2 guns and ill change the rate of fire of the rail guns to make up for it.

So in total the new ship will have 6 less guns but up to 12 missile tubes. Sounds far to me and matches the show a bit better. Nothing like 12 nukes flying at big ships :)

Edit: Looks like it had at least 12 tubes, so 12 it is.

Edit2: All working just need to model in the missile tubes and shes ready to go :)

To be honest, if I have to choose between 8 sets of turrets on top and missile tubes, I'd choose the 8 turrets(I hate game engine limitation).

But well, you are the author, your choice. We support you either way.

Well its 6 on top plus 12 missile tubes, instead of 8 so for the time being I think thats a fair trade. But it will need testing etc and thats what a beta is for. Can always be changed.

And regarding copywrites copyrights*for the music, I can't see any problems. It wouldn't be used for profit of any sort.

i dont know about anyone else, but i never used the front guns really, i tilted the ship allowing the top guns to fire as well as angle for the front guns, so the cockpit guns never got used :P (plus the AI would just keep pointing forwards)

also, would this be possible for pegasus?

Bit hard to see that picture but are the front guns not turrets ? If so thats easy to change.

I think I'm gonna work on pegasus next. It's bit harder to get all the gun placement right since there's so little information about that ship on the whole net...

Indeed. I have yet to place anything in the scene file for it at the moment. Going to add the front guns now to the model though so thats at least out of the way.

You suggestion for the Galactica was good and apart from the missile turret engine limitations has been used so I will be interested in what you come up with for the Peg.

Those two front shoots (in your two posts) show a completely different front turret/gun placements.

The one you just linked to is the one that I did have, and the one you linked to earlier is what I now have. The first showing 8 fixed guns and the second having 4 horizontal bar thingys.

Yes, those are from the BS wiki. But it doesn't help to pin point things like point defense position. And I'm not too sure about the other main batteries other than those shown in the picture (front, side of the flight pod). Need to go deeper.

first shot was taken when she was first seen in the series, the 8 guns were later in the series during her second major engagement (first was mostly broadsides), and i guess similar to the missile tubes, were added in later

from what i've seen of the series, the main guns are only along the sides

0:57 and 2:09 might help you, i'd suggest putting one in the gap of the armour, however i think the majority of pegasus's PD guns are actually her main guns being more modern then galactica's and being able to fire faster
