One simple suggestion. It would be much more user friendly to save last used directories between programme sessions. It would be only for file open/save dialogs so, no need for MRU, just last directory used.

Anyway, nice piece of work.

Ships does not appear.

Hi Cycrow: I get two ships from Tensin XSP page. The Carrier Transport and the Evader MK3. Install them with the installer and are enable to the DDRS mod and the installer said that they are install. But when I check they does not appear. Also chech with LV cheats and still not appears. What I'm doing wrong?

@ Puruco:

when installing, did you check the ddrs mod as the base mod, or are you running ddrs as a false patch?

edit: check your mods folder and see it there are 2 listed (or check from the mod load screen from the main menu) if there are 2 mods, then you are running just one (you can only run one mod). you should have chosen to merge ship creator with the ddrs mod.

DDRS is my base mod. But what I understand from all the reading is that the ship installer merge the ships or put the ships inside the mod, in this case DDRS. Yes their are two mods in the mod folder. What I understan from what you said is that I have to run DDRS as a false patch or merge both after I install the ships?

This can cause problems when you try to 'export' a ship from XTM.
Jakesnake, just to keep the record clear, I was trying to IMPORT a ship into the XTM, using Cycrow's installer. I "attached" the Ship Installer to the XTM mod, as per instructions.

Then, when starting up the Ship Creator mod, the XTM ships were not textured properly. The Cycrow imported ships were fine.

All I wanted was one "non XTM" ship... :)

no, it doesn't add sships into the base mod, it creates a seperate mod which copies the base mod and the ships into, and leaves the basemod untouched.

when you run the game, you need to make sure you select the "ShipCreator" mod from the X3 Load script, not the DDRS mod.

russbo, what was the problem with the texture ?
the textures sshould just be a straight copy into the new mod, but i'll have to check that

After I successfully installed XTM, I then ran the Ship Installer, set the XTM as the base mod (your program did it's thing for about five minutes or so, with no apparent errors), then ran "Ship Creator" mod, got the above mentioned error, and created (cheats) some ships to see if they were there. The ships installed with your program (Battlestar Galactica) were fine, the Leviathan, Agamemnon, etc, were in the various lists, but, when created, showed only a few textures; some box like shapes, some features that were part of the ship. The ship was present only in that there was a blue box around it; the ship itself could not be entirely visualized. About 90% of it was not visible.

ok, sounds like its missing either some models or componanets, ill test it some more c what i can find

Ok, I did that and the ships appears in the shipyards but when I create one(the Carrier) it appears with the Mamouth cover and the carrier specifications. Also in my ship I can not shoot and is not complet.

The Xtended people have some of the files 'separate' for stability reasons. They didn't say why. And won't say why.

I initially thought the Ship Installer had something to do with this. Now I'm not sure.

I reverted back to XTM, after finding that I could not successfully import ships into XTM using the Ship Installer. But after using the Ship Installer on the XTM, I started having texture loss issues.

I uninstalled XTM, did a fresh install, and now, I'm finding that most ships are fine, EXCEPT Paranid based XTM ships in Paranid sectors that have shipyards. These ships are fine when in CSE, Ore Belt, etc, but when they (Agamemnon, etc) fly to Paranid Prime, they lose their textures.

EDIT: Cyrcrow, apparently, as I now see, this is an issue with the mod. Got any ideas anyway?

Ok Cycrow: I install the Carrier Transport from Tensin XSP and everything is ok but when I try to install a second one or a group of more than two my cockpit change and I can not fire. I try your sugestion to pass trhougt a gate but still have the wrong cockpit and no shooting. Maybe one of the oter ship has some damage file?

Having trouble downloading, can't connect to any of the download links, is this just my end?

Main download, just won't load
1st Mirror won't load either
2nd Mirror 404 Not Found?

russbo, i've not used XTM enough to find out what the problem is, ill have to check it, it should be the way its merge effecting the files but i'll have to do more tests to be sure.

Puruco, its possible one of the ships you installed is messing up the components files which is causing the problem. Which ships did you try to install, and ill test them out

Status Report:

1.
i've done abit of testing, and been unable to find any problems with Xtended as the Base mod, i've set that as the base mod and installed several ships, and its working as it should. All the ships look find, thier cockpits and weapons are fine.

2.
I've tested some of the ships
the ones that are working fine, are Recording Star m7, Borlon Star Deadnougth, Mobile Starbase, John F Kennedy.
with these installed al lthe ships are working fine include ones from the base mod.

3.
The Imperial SuperStarDestroyer seems to be broken, when installing it, it would crash my game with save game curroption, not sure the reason for this but its worth not using this one until its fixed

the other ships i havn't tested yet

Ok, I tested the ships that you mention in #2 and they install ok, also use LV cheat and they appears and in their respectevly shipyard but my cockpit still missing is another one and the target window shake.
