OK, i did it, but I found that there is no Terran (Flight Leader) entry, in place of it there is "Extreme Tycoon" (player with s****** of ships) :(

I wanna be Terran.

How to get to terran space without cheats? I don't see any gates to their space.

Does Terran starting point not available is linked to that there is no Terran reputation bar and that no terran ship ansver to hails?

Is there is any plotline in 0.7? if yes then how to start it?


Many people claim that they noticed huge FPS dropdown, but I feel none (even with every sector discovered with satelite cheat).
MOREOVER, I feel that your capships PPC (I really like this new sound effect) mass crossfire cause less dropdown than stock PPC.
BIG RESPECT FOR THAT :D

EDIT: Do you plan to create single mission that will allow to fly every new ship (it's bit anoying to create evry ship via cheat)? something like stock mission where you could test few capships.

In the Starts without the ES-Plot you've to Activate "Add Terrans to Non-Plot Game" in the AI-Menu.

Thanks, I can get to Terran space now :D

Still I have few issues:
1) Terrans don't answer my hails (nothing, not even "get lost")
2) Terrans don't figure at reputation screen.
3) Terrans shoot me at sight.

4) How to start Extended Mod plot?

1. I'm not sure but I think that's normal.

2. That's normal. As far as I know you can see your Terran rep by activating the Script Editor and look into the Ship Info.

3. You could set up a factory in Heretics End. After some time they'll like you a little more.

with XTM its a script that keeps you from having more then one ship of spezial ships like prototypes and m0s. currently it's bugged, but with next version (0.7.2) it will work propperly.

next time ask in XTM-thread ok!?

absolutely wrong.

1) the only m7 wich can dock everywhere are Hyperion and whale. these have class m7. all others can only dock at shipyards and Equipment docks (they are of class m1 or m2)
2) ok, here youre right - almenu when you play without Egosoft-plot
3) its not a bug. Shipyards are Hardcoded, so XTM-Team couldn't create new ones. these shipyards with no hull and no shielding even don't have a model and you can't dock with them. you can trade via com with them from sapce or sector-map. bought ships are tranferred direktly over to the Equipment-dock.

A) I haven't played X3 for long, but is it normal to be allowed to comm the station from <7km distance (~15-20 km would be better)? It's especially painfull when I try to dock to SY with capship.


B) I bought Split Panter carrier and I recieved a message that I can build fighters from it. It tells me that I need to buy resources from SY (only Split or other SY sell them too?), I set it to build, it shows me how much cash I need to have but it doesn't take this cash. I tought that I need those resources so I went to Split SY. I checked buy menu, comm menu (both docked and undocked).

C) How to buy those resources?
Does build mechanism for Argon Leviathan, Goner "mobile big ship", missile/drone builders are the same?

I think i can answer D, E and F

D: No script. Just activate the SE and then look into the Ship Info of a Terran Ship (I hope this is correct)

E: You need two of them. One in each sector you want to link. Then use the Gate deployment command.

A) the distance for com is normal - 7,5km

B) You can buy these resources with using the X-Tended-Com on a SY

C) i don't know exactly, but to build dronnes with the griffon you only need cash.

D) activate Script-Editor, open the first infolayer from any Terran station or ship. use page-down to scroll down to a place where the notority's are listet. there you can see your notority.

XTM7 IS NOT work with DDRS MOD - explanation - when i install this two mods - there are no new XTM7 races shipyards :(
I used DDRS ShipStation Mod V2.4.2a and XTM7a + 0.7.1b Script Files
Why they do not work at the same time :? Thaks a lot !

Silly question, but why do the custom XTM starts give you ships with no SETA installed? It's really ruddy annoying to crawl at non-SETA through three sectors, then find the south gate in Senator's Badlands is guarded by two Orbital Defence Platforms and about 300 ships.

For that matter, how the heck are you supposed to survive AT ALL in the Split Militant and Yaki Traitor starts? I got seven days into a Kha'ak Invader start, and that wasn't even CLOSE to as difficult as those two starts are. The other custom starts just give you way too much stuff--what's the point of playing the game when you already have enough money and ships to do nearly anything you want to do?

Oh, and is it intentional that the Egosoft-provided missions (e.g. the main plot, Bala Gi) are rendered practically impossible to complete until you have major fleets at your command, due to hostile Sohnen ships in Freedom's Reach and the unknown sector near Maelstrom?

Lastly, I'm sure I saw somewhere that all the ships in the XTM mod were supposed to be balanced. How is a pirate Nova with 1.5GJ of shields even remotely balanced? I've seen two of those things and they are just killers. (They seem to have Otas Medium Shields rather than the usual 25MJ ones).

Now, is there a problem with the mod installation on my machine, or is it all supposed to be this way?

Known Bug. Will be fixed in the next patch.

I think the Sohnen ships are spawned randomly so this is an coincidence.

I think these starts are especially for the poor souls who lost a gigantic empire to start an New XTM game.

Everything you listed are known issues and will be fixed/changed in the next patch.

I'm just thankful they're there, so I'm a happy poor soul :)

My nemesis Sohnen is tucked away in CL, playing with a Shivan,
still managing to knock down my UTs though.
Currently I'm hoping that the typhoons I'm collecting will deal with it (or not).

I have read about the custom starts but when I start a custom game with the mod I don't get any custom start options. It just plops me into Argon Prime with the usual Buster. Do these starts have to be activated somehow, and if so, how do I do it?

Nevermind, I found the solution in another thread and it worked.

so I downloaded the new mod for X3 xtm.7a and everytime I try to install it I get a error it says problem with digital ID and error with x script instaler any ideas

Glad to hear it...I really like the updated graphics and the way all the extra ships bring life to the X universe, but I'm suffering a deal of frustration trying to find a start where I don't hit a wall quite quickly. Nice to hear it should be fixed soon!

the Split start in kao's mistake is abit hardcore, takes some serious thinking just to get out of the first sector then you see the arseload of baddies in the next one that you have to avoid meanwhile having no Seta.. took me 20 tries just to get to the first gate :lol:
