The problem with the slow rotation of the towers is easily solved by purchasing several squadrons of fighters. Terran battleships are like Great Britain during the Second World War (in fact, a huge unsinkable aircraft carrier). Another way is the installation of missile weapons :wink:

Whoever is responsible for the Marketing in Egosoft should get a bonus.

Having a previews by multiple youtubers really give you good insight of what CoM can offer and what it contain - moreover this is about two weeks before the release date.
Far better than EA, Ubisoft and CDProjekt.

If I wouldn't own Collector Edition I'd be buying DLC now.

BTW both Werit and Captain Collins have series of videos for upcoming days and Draconian has already two episodes with actual normal gameplay.

Great to hear, thanks :) I expect a few more people to join in with videos before the release, but in the end it's of course up to them what they want to do and when they want to do it. Starting March 11, they're also allowed to livestream and post proper reviews (reviews are of course more a topic for the classic media / games websites).

You're welcome :P

Classic media is also much more difficult, to be honest. We don't fit into the typical "live service" game category, that they like to cover regularly, but we're also not the typical singleplayer game that only has traction for 4-6 weeks after its release. So we need to find specific opportunities and compromises on this level, too. I do know that the German Gamestar is working on both Cradle of Humanity coverage and a general "how has X4 changed since its release" article/video, I'm confident that those will be effective and good for us. And in the meantime I'm trying to get others to do something similar :)

So in these vids we get a lot closer look at the new npcs, they look really great imo, and we have blonde, auburn and even facial hair! Hopefully the argon will receive these improvements and increase in variety? Hope that these improvements are part of the 'dynamic' face system and not pre-generated faces like the old ones. I really love the Dr Rick character.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to think anymore tbh. I like a lot of the designs but I worry the ships just aren't going to be much fun to fly. The capital ships are ridiculously slow:

The Aux ship (Honshu) also has 2 medium docks, but zero M ship capacity. I'm all for racial identity but if the speed is going to be literally half that of other races there need to be some overwhelming positives to offset them but they just seem...kind of average other than being ridiculously slow. Yeah the Syn and Asgard are pretty well gunned, but I would not be surprised to find the equivalent costs of behemoths outperforming them--I don't expect the ATF ships to be cheap no matter how they perform.

Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

Just get Split ships with hull mods and Argon Turrets (at least we know they can be fitted). Probably even cheaper... then blast the Terrans out of the Sol system and go on with your life mate...

I ain't blasting anyone but the xenons, and make as much war between factions as possible

This is also the case with the Battleship (Asgard-class)! Bug, oversight or intended???
Especially on this ship the actual useability of the single M dock with this "capacity" would be rather questionable...
Nevertheless good job with the designs!!! I like them all!

True, a little disappointing but the Honshu can deploy 450(!!) drones. In fact all Terran battleships have 250-450 drone capacity each. In comparison, the other factions can deploy 20 drones (exception aux ship: 100) at max.

Syn and Osaka both carry +1150% drones each compared to a Behemoth. Their enormous drone and weapon power sets them apart obviously. The price is their terrible speed and lack of shields (?) it seems. Either way you need some form to balance that.

Good catch, I hadn't noticed the drone count. Being exceptional at something is better than not, but that's just about the worst stat that could have been pumped from my personal perspective. I hate drones--they feel super gamey and lack the cool sense of ownership you get from actually having a fleet instead of a billion laser towers or whatever. If Terrans are the drone faction I think I'm just going to be depressed :-(

Maybe they included the Kris drone from x3 and it could use the drone launch tube like repair drones? Just an idea I think would work well.

Looked after that again and please correct me if I´m wrong, but aren´t deployables satellites, mines and so on (e.g. 450 resource probes) and drones counting as units? Seems "usual" then...
Unfortunately I have no expirience with Aux ships till now and how they exactly work in practice, but as I remember the "usual" capacity of M ships of ships with a corresponding dock were 10. :gruebel:

Drones are Units, no ship has more of them than those of the other races
deplayables are only satellite, probes, mines...
Honshu has 100 Drones, like all other ships of its class.
The number of satellites is also identical across all classes.

The only thing that stands out is the Asgard, with its very large missile store. No other ship has something like that.
