Ok, DoW was an example, there are other games, possible 60 more if they add 6 new ones each day.

I just noticed that Steam updated Total War: Shogun 2 - it now has a new & summer-themed achievement, so that's another likely candidate.

Interesting, Mount & Blade Warband had new achievements added but they are all estrogen themed (as a female character...). Perhaps we should start a thread in OT listing recently updated games with possible candidates?

Going by the timer on the front of the store page I'd guess there is only a couple of hours left on "today's" achievements anyway.

I have both achievements and no sign of the new sector.

And for the people playing modified game, I could upload a 3.1.1 Vanilla save I have in Cobra targetting a Paranid SPP M - 4 volleys of hammers = one achievement down. Then transfer onto a Hyperion Vanguard it has on follow, jump into Kha'ak sector of your choice and fry few scouts with 8xPBG it has in front turret. Both achievement done in 5 min tops. You can delete the save afterwards, as the achievements are persistent across all saves.

Chill dude, I know they don't. But they are likely to count at some point. And for players that use mods it would be faster to use someone else's save instead of starting new game, hunting for PBGs and trying to destroy a SPP in a M4 with 2xIRE or whatever guns you have at the beginning.

Just to be clear so that the people who only read the latest page are in the known.
You need 3 tickets to unlock a prize in the Steam Prize booth.
You win 1 ticket by simply joining the Steam Summer Camp community.
You win 1 ticket for each achievement accomplished for the games of the day, listed along their achievement on the steam site, beneath the prize booth.
Each ticket you earn makes you eligible for 1 chance per ticket for the big lottery whre you can win the 10 top games of your wishlist, and every ticket won counts, even those you used for prizes.

Because I already said I have the DLC unlocked on page 2 of this very thread. But for the lazy people I will repeat everything I know about the new sector:

• Unlocking the DLC by spending 3 tickets on steam doesn't unlock the new sector immediately.
• Doing 2 new achievements doesn't unlock the new sector either.
• The sector will most probably be called Harmony of Perpetuity, be located just above Elysium of Light, and contain at least 3 low-ish silicon roids, 2 ore roids, a planet and 3 suns. more details
• Using Scorp's Map Export Universe script doesn't reveal any new sectors.
• Apparently the sector will not be just uncovered by itself, but there will be a related plot named A Sunny Place which actually "instantiates" it.

I wonder if 3 suns = 300% efficency on SPP, like Elysium of Light, that plus silicon roids could make a nice place for an E-cells plant.

The sector will use 3x 150% suns (450% suns? Deal with it, Akeela's Beacon!)

Also, the 3 suns are of different colors so the sector will look nice IMO

I'm confused

I've just checked the game in steam and there's no DLC and the last listed update was in February?

Whatever "genius" came up with this idea at steam has certainly engineered the most convoluted marketing gimmick I think I've ever seen. The Steam page that lists the activities has a list for 30 June and the next day is 2 July, there is no 1 July is that because I'm a day ahead of the US or something?

Do you live in the Samoa island, where there will be no Dec 30 2011?

Too bad, I can't play Steam game from work, being behind the corp firewall (Where is the guy who blasted me, claiming he did not have to open a single port from his HOME setup to play Steam games ) There is a big difference between a home firewall and a corporate firewall
