btw did you read the original , about setting up trading and the hub plot , incorporating what I dubbed as "new-tech" complexes ?
That was more of a tutorial based on vanilla plus bonus pack .
This one is more s/m orientated ,with a lot of "artist's licence" thrown in .

I just meant normal grammar and punctuation. As opposed to finishing a sentence with a period or a question mark and starting the next word immediately. When that's done it kind of looks like a web address and makes my eyes cross when trying to read a lot of it at once.
I believe I read some of the hub plot a while back, or some of it anyway, when I was looking for answers to sticking points. It took me several days to figure out that I could actually dock with the thing for example. No, I'm not always the sharpest knife in the drawer. Other than that, though, I rarely use tutorials as I prefer to figure it out on my own, at least when I can.
On the other hand I'm a fan of fiction, and began reading this thread earlier this evening, and like I said. I'm intrigued.

ok then . A brief summary...
Norman Fiesty picks up the story from the point where his Uncle had been stripped of nearly everything he had built up over time . This was due to a Teladi partnership going wrong.
He also has a family name to restore . So Norman has a two fold mission.One to restore his name and the other to wreck havoc on the Teladi.
Unfortunately,his wish to seek revenge cause an imbalance of mind,so he is looked after by his good friends , the Boron.
By the time he recovers , he is not in a position to lead his empire and gradually it is swallowed up by various factions of the Commonwealth .
During that time,he marries and has a son whom he names Ronald , now known as Ronny .
Ronny applies himself in Argon schooling and leads an adventurous life , culminating in espionage for the Argon,only to find some Argon wants him terminated.The Terrans get wind of this and stop the assassination attempt.
He knows that Aldrin has a problem that he must act on first , and succeeds . Then he turns his attention on the Sol System where he learns just what had actually happened . This leads him to accept Terran terms of limited protection...work for them to pay for crimes against the state.
To that end this is what this story is about...fixing the Terran economy .

He woke up again ,having fully rested . After a meal , he jumped into his Hyperion and headed towards the ringed planet.
As he got closer he could see the rings moving at different speeds around the planet,much as a spinning disc around a central hole...(Actual gaming experience
)
He had centered his target sight on the plane so that the outer edges were in line with each other .
Now,over 1500km from that HQ , there was a noticeable difference that made it obvious he was getting closer .
At 2,500km he was over the edge of the outer ring . Or so it seemed,but external view proved otherwise . There was still more distance to travel .
His target sights now just about covered the dark expanse of the central 75% if the planet view .
At 3,300km he changed course to the right , brighter side of the planet , considering traveling to the far side , out of sight .
At 4294km the readouts went to minus figures.
The target sight went to metres , also in minus figures . As he continued forwards these figures remained static.
(end of actual gaming experience) .
"So navigation systems all but useless . A long time since I have navigated by eye . " thought Ronny .
"You'll get used to it" , came a familiar voice in his head...
Checking external view , he was directly over the edge of the rings this time.
Later he was directly over the second ring in . Docking and Follow actions resulted in "Too close for autopilot" . However a quick aborted test of jumpdrive proved ok .
He was also unable to use auto station placement,like he used for non standard stations in Terran space.
The "old ones" would have to dock with him in a fighter or smaller as he was unable to land anywhere.
He brought the Hyperion to a standstill.

Eventually very old and battered "disco" arrived.He only knew it as a discoverer because his ship's system told him it was.But he certainly had never seen one before...except maybe in history lessons.

"There is strong magnetic field surrounding this planet . It messes up most of your equipment while in range,so you must jump out of sector first . Try Zyarth's Dominion and then jump/dock at your PHQ ."
Ronny fired up the jumpdrive again and felt it struggle against the local anomaly . Then he was out of sector , sliding through the worm hole and out through the West gate . He maneuvered away from the gate before jumping again to his own sector and prepared to dock at the PHQ.
The engineers were all over the "Disco", examining every detail . Soon they knew what they needed to bring it a bit more up to date . And as a special bonus they super-tuned it too , along with some extra shields .
Meanwhile the "old ones" were shown around the HQ , particularly the command centre where they had contact with all operatives throughout the known universe , and also the local sector advanced sats which acted like an advanced warning system .
Through these they could monitor all traffic in the system .
They seemed impressed with the security of the sector they had chosen.

An aside...
I was listening to an author on the radio a while back . He was saying that sometimes a story writes itself .
I did not really understand what he meant until now .
The tall dark character was going to be someone entirely different . A former Yaki associate of Dylan Pickleworth , called Dynamo Joe .
But The tall dark character had other ideas . The story wrote itself , as the author had said .
Still Dynamo Joe may still come in at some point , but may not be a tall dark person .

During this time , his credits had risen to 60M plus .
So he took another look at the Military Base where the Commander was stationed .
There were a number of missiles in the list which were not being delivered , so Ronny decided to purchase the missile forges for that sector .
Once again , the Letter of Marque came in useful.
" Of course," said the sales clerk , " we know you have authorization , but we have to be seen to be doing our job . So please show us the documents when requested ."
Ronny was getting tired of "red tape" .
"There's too much red tape in this woe begotten universe ." he muttered to himself as he left the sales clerk.
These two ship loads of forges left him almost broke again .

Meanwhile , Dylan had been busy with arranging for 40 more Angels to be used as STs in the TUK sectors...10 extra in each.
Upon inspection TUK2 and 4 made quick use of them . But TUK 1 and 3 were much slower to use them.
Ronny has now been proclaimed "Guardian of Earth" and plans to build more factories in the solar system sectors.
Looking at Kuiper Belt , it seemed about the right time to plant an SPP there .
Uranus 2 and 3 also seemed ready for an SPP.
So he undocked from the PHQ,reversed back in his Atmospheric Lifter . He glanced down to see the MO with his Arans docked either side , and jumped the TL to TUS 1 and docked at the Shipyard.
The clerk was relieved to find it was just standard purchases this time...just 3x SPP XLs . At least the station would make reasonable profit this time .
Next Ronny jumped to the afore mentioned sectors to deploy said stations , only he used the Warp Drive to bypass the long treks through Terran Space . "Maybe one day we will have Warp Drives fitted as standard." he thought to himself.
From Titan down to Asteroid Belt seemed awash with traders . Likewise Saturn 2 . Saturn 3 however , looked in need of help . All that remained there was a Phantom Missile Fabrication Facility At the very least , it needed energy.
To this end he studied what was needed.He had barely 93M credits. Some of the stations would have to be special purchase through the Letter of Marque,but otherwise he could afford the buyable stations.

There has been a Terran Representative visiting all the stations placed there , and now a the Terrans have built an EMP Rifle Assembly Facility , right in the heart of the sector !
And now a Shadow Missile Factory has been placed by a Terran TL in the NE quadrant of the sector.
I think our work is nearly finished."
...thus read Ronny as he picked up the latest transmission from Saturn 3.
"Not quite yet...A few more sectors to check and then we can concentrate on our own little sector" , thought Ronny , as he leaned back wit a satisfactory smile. "Then we will see...then we will see..."

Following on from this honour bestowed up him,he decided to investigate just what this meant , as both you and I know he did not have much of a navy . Just how could he guard Earth ?Ronny has now been proclaimed "Guardian of Earth"
He jumped into his Hyperion and flew off to the Earth Torus .
Upon docking , he was greeted by Admiral Jules , who then escorted him to Central Command.
As they journey through long impressive corridors , Admiral Jules explained that when given the title "Guardian of Earth" it it not mean that that person was sole guardian , but rather joined an Elite team of a dedicated workforce who were given responsibility to command the Torus , on a rota basis.
"It will be necessary for you , Ronald , to learn Station Protocols and command access codes of Torus Defense . We don't want our station commanders to get blown to bits ,do we ?...Just one thing though...Do not attempt to explore the whole ring of the Torus. It goes into Earth Atmosphere which will melt your ship quicker than your computer can warn you. Understood ?"
Ronny nodded , and knew then that he still might never land on Earth . Not yet,anyway. But at least once the security protocol had recognized him , he could travel almost unlimited in Earth Sector .
He also learned he had access to the usual station facilities ,including over-tuning engines. Something later he learned had to be done incrementally ,else it would have reverse effects .
So for now he settle for just a slight increase to 257m/s.

Having run Protocol,he found he had to remove two Laser Towers...for some strange reason they would go rogue after a few minutes . Once done ,he was free to take a closer look at Earth and the elongated arms of the Torus.
Well pleased,he went back to the docking bay , returned to Central Command and noted the mark of respect given him by younger operatives there .
Talking to various members of the staff he learned of blueprints for smaller subsections of the Torus .
These had not so far been used outside of the Earth sector . But were available in Holographic form for inspection and modifications .
"Now this might prove useful," he thought to himself . " Plenty of research without actually building one yet . I wonder what the different facilities would be for me if owned by myself or the Terrans . It has a nice shape . Obviously Terran ,and would be a good deterrent to the Argon , should they think of a raid on my HQ."
The more he looked at it , the more he wanted one . But the cost was high . Maybe after a few more awards...
Well , that was for the future. He handed control back to the current Guardian and made his way to his Hyperion . He had another commander to visit...the Commander...to discuss current progress.

Once you have dealt with those two sectors , you are free of my directives...only don't forget to report in at the Earth Torus when requested to assist ."

Arriving back at the HQ , he summoned Dylan.
While awaiting his arrival , he called his engineers to get them to test their production methods by producing from the Blueprints in stock.
There were two Terran blueprints , which he gained working for the Argon , and the reason why he's now working for the Terrans.
He asked them to produce one of each.
Then he opened up trade in order to get supplies.

Dylan,upon being told Ronny's plan , declined the task but offered an old friend of his as " probably the best in his class , this side of Weaver's Tempest ."
"So you think this Dynamo Jo ,as you call him , fits the bill? Ok. Get hold of him and explain I need him to work for me , or rather OTAS. Tell him that if he is successful,he will get the first Sirokos off our production line . Meanwhile I want you go and get us a Teladi Trading Station to store our fighters in."
Sometime later Ronny received message by drone.

" Mission failed...We need to be Company Owner before they will trade that station with us."
So Ronny got the engineers together to see if they could come up with any solutions.They could only come up with a generic station with one set of external docking clamps.
Ronny scowled at the idea . " Not good enough.We need internal multiple bays.Also we will require Capital Ship Docks too , sooner or later . Keep working on it . "

Like the story, TTD. This is the first time on the creative universe. Like what I see, and am looking forward to reading more. Keep up the good work.

Dynamo Jo docked at the OTAS HQ.
Hi did not hang about to exchange space yarns.
Going straight to the comms he saw the Mission briefing to escort a convoy back to Legends Home.
Immediately he undocked and sought to find the convoy.
Almost as soon as they contacted him to escort them , there was a flash overhead . Five Pirates just appeared from nowhere !
Annoyed , Dynamo muttered to himself . "Seems this new Warp Drive has fallen into the wrong hands." Quickly he outmaneuvered them , placing himself between the convoy and the pirates .
They tried the diversion tactic. He was drawn off in chase and two of the convoy got toasted by the remaining Pirates.
Quickly realizing he was about to lose big time , if he was not careful , he spun round and dealt a a swift blow to the four remaining Pirates.
Convoy leader was not amused . "Look sharp Pilot . You sure you completed Flight School ? Or are you a Fudge ?"
That insult was not called for . Besides , the Fudge family no longer carry that name . And he was now not only working for OTAS , but doing so on behalf of Mr. R. Fiesty himself ! Son of THE Norman Fiesty !
No matter,he had a job to do and would deal with the insult another Jazura.
All seemed calm until they were about to enter the Gate. The from above the gate , another wave of Pirates came. This time Dynamo was ready.
This went on , at least twice in each sector.

Finally they reached OTAS HQ. The convoy was just about to dock when yet another wave of pirates appeared.
For some annoying reason , the convoy stopped docking and came out to watch Dynamo deal with the last batch of Pirates.
Finally they docked , and he did likewise.
Checking his log , he found the mission accomplished message , saying "There could wee be a position here for you at OTAS . we will contact you when a new assignment becomes available."
"So ," he thought , "Maybe the lost ships were just decoys and the important parts of the convoy got home and dry."
He then sent the details of his adventure back to Ronny.
Dynamo Jo docked at the OTAS HQ.
Hi did not hang about to exchange space yarns.
Going straight to the comms he saw the Mission briefing to escort a convoy back to Legends Home.
Immediately he undocked and sought to find the convoy.
Almost as soon as they contacted him to escort them , there was a flash overhead . Five Pirates just appeared from nowhere !
Annoyed , Dynamo muttered to himself . "Seems this new Warp Drive has fallen into the wrong hands." Quickly he outmaneuvered them , placing himself between the convoy and the pirates .
They tried the diversion tactic. He was drawn off in chase and two of the convoy got toasted by the remaining Pirates.
Quickly realizing he was about to lose big time , if he was not careful , he spun round and dealt a a swift blow to the four remaining Pirates.
Convoy leader was not amused . "Look sharp Pilot . You sure you completed Flight School ? Or are you a Fudge ?"
That insult was not called for . Besides , the Fudge family no longer carry that name . And he was now not only working for OTAS , but doing so on behalf of Mr. R. Fiesty himself ! Son of THE Norman Fiesty !
No matter,he had a job to do and would deal with the insult another Jazura.
All seemed calm until they were about to enter the Gate. The from above the gate , another wave of Pirates came. This time Dynamo was ready.
This went on , at least twice in each sector.

Soon he had the next mission
Deliver Silkworm,Typhoon and Disruptor missiles.
First two was simple enough.
Fortunately someone had collected some disruptor missiles and stored them in the Hub , so they too were quickly shipped back.
Next up was Defend Station in Aladna Hill.
Just simple destroy all Pirate ships mission.

Meanwhile Dylan headed down to Ministry of Finance and set about putting 10 Falcon Haulers into Sector Trade there. That should help boost Teladi rep

While doing the Station Defend Mission at Aladna Hill , he noticed a nice looking M8 ~ Hades amongst the group of Pirates.
This he wanted for himself,but OTAS would not let him keep it.It had to be destroyed in order to complete the mission.
But having seen how effective it was,he decided to gain one by other means.When done,he destroyed the original and the mission was then completed.
Now Dynamo waited for the next Mission from OTAS.
...which was very easy. Pick up passenger in Akeela's Beacon and return to OTAS HQ.
His newly ,ahumm,acquired Hades was more than up to the task.
Next up was an assassination of someone with stolen document.
This time the ship was a Peregrin.
"Simples " Dynamo Jo thought. "...get close... transfer to Peregrine ...kill the offender...keep ship."
So that is what he did.This was proving to be quite a good exercise .
So far two good ships gained.Getting difficult to decide which ship he would like to keep.
"I wonder what it is that only OTAS can give Mr Feisty...mmm" speculated Dynamo , ashe headed back to the OTAS HQ
Meanwhile he sent the Peregrine ahead of him,ready to send to the PHQ.
Next two missions were easy.
protect SPP in Akeela's...only it was finished the second he arrived.

Then the OTAS REP , Calon Silarne asked him for transport to the MO in Aladna Hill.
Next up was assassination. Not enough time to more than that

11 Firestorm
Again he had contacts who shipped them to him almost immediately.

Protect station....Gained a Gladiator.
To Dynamo Jo,this ship made him think of the lone Buster he had started with so very long ago,only it seemed over-sized , and with extensions .
He was tempted to use that for a while, but preferred the sleek looks of the Hades
