Paranid Fleet Attacked in Unholy Descent
Earlier today, 10 Xenon Q-class Frigates and over 50 Xenon L fighters attacked the Paranid Patrol Fleet 1-3ABZLO in Unholy Descent.
"They...they swarmed us. They took out the equipment dock and headed straight for us."
The Patrol Fleet was a meager amount of ships, mostly M4s and M5s, with two M6 Nemesis' and 1 M2 Odysseus. They were able to hold them off long enough for the Paranid Main Killing Fleet to arrive. The PMKF's whopping sixteen Odysseus' and over 30 Nemesis' frigates easily crushed the remaining Xenon ships. How the Xenon ships got into the sector without alerting guards is unknown, but it is possible that they used a jump-drive to get there.
After the break: More details on the captured Heavy Centaur Prototype - Also, we ask our chief reporter if Goner Punch is really a bad thing.

Asteroids disappear. Are Spaceflies the Menace?
Across a vast number of Commonwealth space and even in some Terran sectors, silicon asteroids are disappearing.
Huge swarms of spaceflies are noticed after the disappearance. All races are alarmed by this sudden event.
Not only are these asteroids missing , it's recognized that without silicon, the economies of many systems will fail
and production will come to a halt,if the disappearances aren't corrected. The answer was thought to be in a new breed of spacefly.
Professor Tam Dickler of the University of Argon Prime, a foremost authority of the Markus spacefly has studied samples taken from swarms
and has found that in every sample, the space flies were coated with silicon dust. His first report (leaked by unknown sources) stated that
the flies may have mutated into a new breed that consumes silicon to procreated and may be the caused of the asteroids disappearance. A further
study and report by Professor Dickler has refuted his first report but the reactions to the first report has just begun.
The society for the Markus Spacefly has hailed the second report and has condemned those who use the leaked report to hunt the spacefly.
The Split authorities have hail the leaked report as proof that the spacefly must be culled and be used as a resource.
They cited that many of their systems have lost silicon asteroids and the huge swarms have caused unpleasant staining on their military crafts.
New Split bug clubs have exploded onto the spacelanes since, most noted the "Quad-S" group. Officially named "Split Silicon Saver Society" is
known for it's extremes when hunting spaceflies. It membership is made up mostly from disowned split family members, older pirates and
disillusioned Goners. What has brought this group to the foremost is a recent event in Getsu Fune.
Four Argon Titans and three Boron Krakens were dispatched to Getsu Fune on reports of a rogue Boreas causing havoc within the sector.
Several docks and factories sustained damaged but the owners recommend caution when confronting the Boreas. The owners cited that
apologies were sent from the Boreas and had moved away after the station were struck.
On approach, scans reveled some interesting information on the craft. The Boreas renamed "The Globber" was recognized as a recent decommission
Argon military vessel "Safe Passage". The ship was sold to an unknown buyer who was thought to be a scrap dealer. Further the armaments
showed that the ship had 16 Ion disruptor, ( A standard weapon used by space hunters) but was also armed with 24 Ion Cannons. Also massive
amounts of Goner Punch were detected and over 100 disruptor missiles.
Contact of the Boreas captain was curtioues but confusing. The captain "Fuiyi K'nt" was adamant stating that they were saving Getsu Fune
and had recently defeated a very large "Spacefly Queen" and a swarm of giant spaceflies. When asked for the location of the large swarm
and queen the captain pointed in a direction and said "There" The general locations were narrowed and a Titan dispatch scouts to the
north and northeastern sector.
A further break in the negotiations occurred when a Terran representative entered the lead Titan's bridge, saw the Split on the viewscreen and exclaimed
in old Terran english. "My god! you look like a prune!" Captain K'nt, who recently used Goner Punch to bathe in, heard the remark and
mistakenly interpreted the phrase in his native language as meaning "You are a great warrior". Relations became warm and friendly.
Reports from the northern scouts reveiled the burn out hulks of a Xenon fleet that had recently jumped through the northern gate.
Several Q, P, LX and M fighter crafts had being ionized and were drifting away from the sector. The ships were completely burned of their electronics
and hull integrity was shown that the ships were subjected to ionization equivalent to a star's Corona Mass Ejection.
Scouts from the northeastern sector sent urgent requests for rescue. They reported that an undiscovered pirate base was on the brink of destruction.
Many of it systems, especially Life Support were failing due to what the survivors called an Ion storm which impacted their station.
A number of regional wanted pirates were taken into custody along with the bases owner, a female Argon who called herself "Casino Suzie"
Suzie proclaim she will rebuild. Since the women was not known for any crimes, Argon officials have released her to her parents.
Her parents have sent a transport to pickup their Suzie and will await her return.
As far as as the crew of the Gobbler. They were placed in detox. Sector official were perplex to charge the Gobbler with attacking the
sector stations or award them with the bounty for the Xenon fleet and the discovery of the pirate base. They recommended the Gobbler to be
refitted with modified ion disruptors in place where the Ion cannon were fitted. OTAS and Boron technicians will oversee the refit.
So one mystery remains. What happened to the asteroids?
X-net news will provide information when it become available.

XENON SIGHTING!
ALERT! ALERT!
Hello and welcome to the Xenon News Show! I am Heri Guly of the Argon.
Earlier today in the Unknown Sector bordering Nathan's Voyage experienced a major Xenon sighting. Local reporter Ila Revola on sight:
LOCAL REPORT: Many witnesses say five Xenon Capital Ships flew through at some distance, for reasons unknown they didn't engage any one and with most citizens afraid of the machines no one dared try the Xenon's Patience.
After a thorough analysis of Video from the Argon Colossus guarding the gate to Unknown Sector, Xenon Experts conclude with a J flying through being escorted by several K's and a few smaller ships.
Station Owners of Nathan's Voyage are startled. Back to you in the studio Heri.
IN STUDIO: Thank you Ila, we now continue with news on the Xenon Philosophy...

Khaak invade classified Military Sector M148
Earlier today a large Khaak force, composing of several carriers & destroyers has invaded M148, prompting the Split/Argon forces to call for assistance to assist in repelling this attack!
Split Admiral Gu t'Ran who commandeers the Crimson fleet responded & deployed his entire force in response.
Thanks to the assistance of Admiral t'Ran we are now able to show live images form the Battle of M148!
[ external image ]
Here is a live feed of the fearless destroyer Seth taking on 2 Khaak capital ships at once. As we can derive from the image, the Admiral fielded several capital ships as well, a worthy counter for theirs, but is it enough to fight off the Khaak swarm itself? The host of fighters, the feature they are most known for?
[ external image ]
And look! our words are not cold yet, and 2 Raptor Class carriers jump in the sector, launching wave after wave of Mamba Raider class fighters as they approach the main Khaak force.
As the Split warfleet descends upon the Khaak, the tide of the battle is turned, and now it are the Khaak who fight a lost cause!
[ external image ]
This feed shows one of the last straggling Khaak scouts on the field, seconds before it perishes before the onslaught. Once more the split show that they have no match on the field!
[ external image ]
At the end, Admiral t'Ran was willing to give free this tactical image, showing the main composition of his Crimson Fleet. On the comment how many losses his fleet suffered he reacted insulted: *Split do not die for bugs, we make bugs die for us!* We kept asking questions to explain his succes, how he managed to avoid even a single fighter getting lost despite the fact they are so weakly shielded: *Shields are for cowards! Strength lies in agility and overwhelming firepower! Crush enemies shields before he can crush yours!*.
As we asked our last question concerning the Prometheus, the only Crimson Fleet capital not included in the tactical view, he promptly shut the feed, after declaring that the ship was classified and only worthy to fly by those who have proven themselves to be True Warriors by defeating the most powerful enemy, and taking their weapons. Some say this points towards the Xenon, as they are still seen as one of the deadliest adversaries in known space...
This was X Universe News brining you the hottest news from outer space into your livingrooms!
And now time for our documentary about the Life & Death of Mark the Spacefly! Stay tuned and enjoy your Goner Punch!
