Shipyards

Post by MrDizzer »

I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to automatically supply their shipyards with the needed materials?

CAG doesnt seem to work, It is only selling all the wares i bought manually :(

I havn't played with X-tended in a long while, but I have 2 quick questions:
-Do the Yaki actually patrol and fight in version 2.2?
-Is there any inter-race combat in version 2.2? Back in version 2.0 none of them had war with each other which was a pity imo.

EDIT: alright Yaki seem to patrol around a bit now, this is a good feature in V2.2a and I thank you for it.

Generally no but it may depend on what exactly and by whom it was made.

So just like with V2.0 I get the same issue in V2.2a regarding Xenon J's.
The issue is that these ships spawn like 20 fighters, yet none of them have any weapons fitted on them and they stay static.
Can anyone please confirm if this is also happening in their game or not and is there any way I can fix these Xenon J's from spawning useless fighters?

The only other mod I am using is the XTRA ship pack for 2.2a http://www.thexuniverse.com/threads/237 ... tended-2-0

I'm trying to use the "in game" galaxy editor with X3 TC x-tended.

When I click on New game / galaxy editor, it does not give me the option for x-universe. It just gives me the option "new map".

I have tried using Doubleshadows galaxy editor but, when I change anything in the file: X3_universe_2.0.pck in the maps folder in 15.cat, nothing is actually changed.

Help please.

The galaxy editor menu will only show maps that are contained in the loose maps folder (addon/maps for AP).

You can load the map in galaxy editor from a new map by going into the galaxy editor options (shift numpad enter) -> import patch objects ->x3_universe.

This is for Terran conflict so I guess I have to make a folder called maps in the main Terran Conflict Folder or within the types folder ?

I tried clicking new map then import patch objects. However, once I type in the name of the X universe map, I still can't see any of the Xtended sectors.

I think this only works for new games because I use Doubleshadows galaxy editor and that works if I start a new game but does not work if I load a saved game even if I fly out the sector and back in - nothing will have changed.

Can someone confirm I have to start a fresh game ?

The maps folder needs to go in the main TC folder for Terran Conflict.

You won't see any of the XTC sectors in the x3_universe file for the TC version, as they're all in the x3_universe_2.0 file. You'll have to extract this to a maps folder as import patch objects won't let you type a '.' so it can't be loaded this way...

Ok. I can now edit the galaxy.

But, does this only work for a new game ?

It seems, once I save a game, the map is then locked and using the galaxy editor has no effect.

Can someone confirm this please.

That's correct. However, there's a possibility to change the galaxy map by loading custom map files using the Mission Director. The basic code for this was posted by Ketraar here.
Please note that I do not know, how the expanding universe feature of XTC will react to adding or changing sectors. So you might want to check the XTC FAQ or other ressources about that.

I'm having a wierd problem, ive copied my X3-TC stuff from Steam to a seperate folder *following info i was given from awhile back* i try to install x-tended to that folder, but nothing appears. it extracts and then nothing.. no files appear in the folder, or in any subfolder, nothing installs at all.

I tried installin this like i did about a year or so ago, and i cant get it to work

HELP

give me a Mod illiterate walkthrough to installing X-tended on a steam version of TC with AP(If that'll make a difference)!

Follow the installation instructions provided in the first post of this topic. If you have a problem with one of the steps, explain what the problem is.

I regret to inform the creators of this mod that whenever I click on the download for the torrent I am given a page of gibberish and nothing more, and your second download link is not longer viable. Please point me in the direction of the newest version of your mod that I can actually download and I may consider restarting my game for a 3rd time to try it out. Please and Thank You.

Cheers

Torrent works fine for me as well.
