I have a tiny question, XTended needs clean install of TC, thats ok. But as the AP is under TC controll so to speak im just wondering if AP contet clutters with the Xtended mod? can i say install the bonus cont for AP, and TC will still be clean and neat for the XT mod?

You can install the bonus content for AP and it won't affect XTC which uses the TC executable.

But there would be no point as you cannot play AP with XTC installed.

You need to copy the whole game (before adding mods) to another location.

And if you use Steam, you'll need the NoSteamEXE for AP from the Egosoft downloads page in order to have multiple installs; if you run the EXE that Steam installed, it will always switch back to running the copy you have in the default Steam directory.

I am now 96 Game-hours in....

Still looking for cockpits, but I have SERIOUS Deficiency of KHA'AK and
Zenon!!! I have seen nor detected ANY so far, with 62 sectors visited.

I did start this game on 'easy' (as I am unfamiliar with this Mod).
Could the lack of bad guys be tied to the difficulty settings? I found several things in the manual, but none about this specifically....

I have checked the AL settings and they appear to be set properly....

The starting sectors seem to be a little bit randomized. Seems pretty guaranteed that the Xenon will come out of the southeast corner of the map into Paranid space decently early on, but it wasn't until the 3rd (of 5) universe expansion stages that I ever saw the Kha'ak, because they homebased in a sector that didn't connect until then. When it did, though, some decent violence occurred.

yes "bad guy incursions" are based on difficulty level

I just had a rather...interesting occurrence. Wanting to test my military might, I killed off all the stations in a Split border sector and eliminated all ships then started camping the gate the response and reinforcement forces came through in my Ray, while a Kraken and the drones from a Guppy kept the small fries from the other gate handled. After quite a while of pelting M7s and eventually M1s as they came through my gate, all the small patrols respawned at once on the other side leaving to a decent M3 swarm with a few M6s, and shortly after a Taipan M2+ entered my side. With the Guppy being harassed by a lone Dragon that had taken it to 50% shields and the drones almost numerically even with M3s as I watched my own shields start to plummet, I called a retreat. I ordered the Kraken to jump and dock at its favorite military base, ordered the drone swarm to attempt to manually flee to the sector next door, but didn't have time to set the Guppy to jump before I was forced out of the sector; by this time the Guppy had 45% shields remaining and again, was only being harassed by a single Dragon.

As soon as I loaded into the sector I'd jumped to two tiles away, I had just enough time to open the universe map, push two arrow keys and pull my trigger before every single ship in the sector died at once. All 17 remaining drones and the Guppy just vanished. The log showed 3 drones and the Guppy as killed by some random M3 (which was not attacking the Guppy, as it only had that Dragon within ~25km of it) and the rest listed no attacker, just that they'd been destroyed.
Is this an intended mechanic? Are you supposed to stand and fight yourself or else all your ships in an enemy sector get deleted? I'm playing on Normal difficulty except with the universe expansion sped up 200% (which completed a while ago) and the time of bailed ships to blow up reduced.

Colossal shield question.

I just bought my first titan but I don't know how to actually buy colossal military shields since my titan cannot dock at those factories nor can my freighters (XL cargobay) take in those XXL shields, so how do I get shields on my titan then?

Im using the Xtended mod btw, not sure if that changes anything about shield cargo requirement.

You need a TS+. The Argon one is called the Notus.

There are a few station replacements mods about.
I am sure that the modders of those could probably do something like that,if they have the time and are willing.

otherwise you are stuck,like me,relying on the good modding community or trying to find or make time to learn how to mod.

hello to all i'm sorry if that already asked but more than 360 post to read is a bit too much and a quick answer is faster.

i see the mod is compatible with x3 TC 3.2X and high but i can't see about x3 AP is the mod compatible with AP (3.0) too??

No.
If it ever comes to AP,then it will be a different installation.

It is essentially a complete new universe with it's own set of plots and some unique station designs not in TC.

So if it was to be in AP,there would only be the additional ships and stations from AP.

Personally ,I can't see the point in having an AP version at this point in time.

Also, the easiest way to install it is to cut and paste the X3:TC conflict install folder to a different location, go "verfiy file cache" in steam to redownload X3:TC conflict to get a completely clean, up to date version.

Then cut and paste that one to a new folder, say "X3TC XTM" or "Xtended", and dump the original X3:TC install back into it's normal folder. Now download the no-steam X3:TC patch off egosoft and apply to the xtended folder copy, then install the xtended mod to that folder.

My bold : Just in case its not obvious - The 1.0.1 to 3.2 patch ( not the AP no steam patch, that would be useless for this )
The X3TC.exe installed by that patch is NoDVD/NoSteam

Then as The_Mess says, install XTC 2.0 to the same new folder

You can also delete the addon folder in this setup, and the AP exe.

Dont install any official bonus packs for this setup though .. Not compatible.

Quick answer would = the first post - line 2 of the installation instructions in post #1 states "Terran Conflict" - No need to read 360 posts after :)

thanks for all answer

now i will search for now how much sectors, etc etc are in this v 2.0 and i probably do a test but actually i have ionstalled a lot of scripts for TC too i test that in a few when i have copy all safely ;)

thanks for the hard work my game is in french so i hope it's work time to test now

I'm finally installing this mod and i am wondering does it make changes to the explorer system extension and if so what.

You mean the software ingame for ships? And not the windows explorer system extension thing?^^ Because if it was the later then you have downloaded a corrupted, propably virus infected installation...
If its the former, the answer is - none that i'm aware of.
