Thourougly confused about how to install. I know it's suppose to be simple but I don't understand how to do it.

Right now, I got
Befehlsbibliothek_X3TC_V3406
Wirtschaftshaendler_X3TC_V3205
folders in both
\scripts
\t

They have the respective files file from the zip files. It obviously doesn't work. Can anyone be more specific?

What folders go where? What files go where?

ashes to ashes, dust to dust ...

... inside the archives there are the directories ./scripts and ./t

... inside the x3 main directory there are the same subdirectories.

Okay, I did what you said.
Unfortunately I get the following messages in game.
For this version of the Economics and Supply Trader X3 Terran Conflict version 2.1 has to be installed!
For this version fo the Pilot Union X3 Terran Conflict version 2.1 has to be installed!


On the startup screen, it says that I have version 2.5.
On the update webpage, it says that I'm up to date and that my current version is 2.05

Someone in chat told me that I need to install a library from Lucikes
I believe I found it at

but I'm unsure if I do need it and/or if I need to repeat the steps I have already done after replacing all the folders from the Lucikes library.

Edit:
I installed the additional stuff after I determines it was a collection of scripts. Now I got 20 messages instead of 3.

Edit:
wow, reverting back to version 2.1 fixed. I updated it back to 2.5. I have the option, will see if it works.

Edit:
It's not working correctly, I'm going to try a fresh install tomorrow.

The messages about "X³:TC 2.1" are wrong ... it should be "X3:TC 2.1 or newer" ... Lucikes scripts work with the newest version perfectly too. Just ignore it.

Don't know, what you could have got messed up. A more detailed description of your problem(s) may be helpful to help you. Or also a Log of your traders, if possible.

My apology for not beeing specific.
When I first got the game I was confused about what patch to install. I install the 2.1->2.5 path even though I only had version 2.0 originally.

After successfully installing the scrips, it didn't work. (possibly because I hadn't done the intermidiate update of 2.1)

Now I'm reinstalling from scratch to a new directory, installing both updates (in order).

The problem that occured was that I couldn't see anything beeing added to the ware list. It would do one run of the ware a selected and then go on standby.

Also, I couldn't get my Mercury Super Freighter to start. I briefly read that it may be related to an ineligible pilot.

Edit: It didn't fix the problem. No matter what I do, I can not add any ware to the list.

Edit: I geuss it did fix it. Weather it was a fresh intall, disableing the MK3 software or none of the above; I can add wares. I always seem to reselect the ware when it had been aded to the list (thinking it hadn't added it yet) I geuss this actually removes it.

I'm still working on getting the Mercury Super Freighter so work.

Edit: I bought Navigation Software and now the Mercury Super Freighter has the option but they both go to EST standby.

If you had the mk3 enabled, there is no ware list. With mk3 enabled the pilot will completly care about his wares to trade by himself.
Especially new pilots also can support a very limited warelist only and need to be trained first to handle bigger warelists.

Also there seems sometimes to be a problem to add wares because of a misunderstanding ... but I'm not sure about that problem in the moment.

In such cases, the log of at least one of these EST is needed (Analysis to Log-Feature, logfile can be found in a .txt just beneath your savegame directory). But standby can also simply mean, that the EST is searching for a profitable traderun. Once Lucike told me, EST's which have found no traderun will move to a Trading Station (and wait there for some time until they start a new search) to differ them from EST's which are still searching.

Need the trade list/opposite of blacklist sectors ability in CAG in this :( Blacklisting the whole universe is rather tedious!

You can switch to the tradelist by hitting "blacklist". Then the entries of the list will be handled as a tradelist.

You mean Exceptions -> Sector list type (Blacklist), which changes to Trade List? That option is there in CAG, but it's missing in EST.

Alright, I apologize if this has been brought up. But whenever I try and supply anything with this my trader always goes on standby. I try and put them to supply different materials so I can run my own factory complex but to no avail. It's just not working :(. Would anyone need any more information to help me? I've gone over the intro a few times but I don't see how it describes how you are supposed to actually get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi GenXenophon

If a EST is on standby it can mean two things:
  • First, it is already searching for a new trade run (the EST-own search routine is quite computationally and needs time, because it checks a lot of more factories for the best run).
  • Secondly it means, it didn't find a trade run.
To differ these two cases, the EST will fly to a trade station if it didn't find a trade run and waits there some time, until it starts to search again.

So, if your EST sits in a regular factory on standby, it's most likely that it is still searching for a trade run.


If it will sit idle once, that means there is somewhere a frightening enemy on it's path.

So, I rescued an EST pilot who had been shot down. Can I use him again and if so, how?

Hi!

You can use the [SCR] Personnel Transporter to sit the rescued pilot into a new freighter.

Ok i cant for the life of me get the jump drive to work any help ?

I mean it cant be hard its 4 settings my ships dont want to keep the minimum energy cells in there hold , and when they have enough they wont jump.

I have it on Yes like 200 cells and min jumps 1 nothing :/

Ok after some more reading i see that i need some "Special training course" where do i get that these things really need some guides im so lost... :/

I love this script but i cant seem to get it to work for me right

They will get that different trainings automatically after some hours of flight time each, as long as you don't disable that trainings manually.

It's not random, its a predefined amount of hours ... but I don't remember how much ... always after the same amount of flight time (8 hours, not sure, seems to high for me?) has passed, the next rank will be gained after the next docking.

for some reason i cant add more that 1 Item to the "Wares List" dont know if anyone else have same problem ?

Low level traders can only trade 1, 3, 5, etc wares in their list.

If you have the apprentice, he can only do one item in the list; as he levels up, until the higher levels, he can trade more and more 'items'.

So, I'm having a problem. I was fighting the paranid for a while and randomly decided to fix my rep with them. I managed to do so. I then changed my friend foe indicator to friend. Some of my newer ESTs didn't detect the change so I had to go in and change so I changed it for them. Now I have 4 of them just sitting idle in paranid space even though their is no threat. In fact, I have one just sitting in mid space idleing. I've done everything I can think of including pulling them back to argon space (where they work again till they go back to paranid space). What do I do?
