Other corporations with their own ships !
Haven't seen that one mentioned earlier, does that mean that a "Stellar Trade Corp" or something has completely unique ships or just a special variant.
Its not likely to mean different ship models, since they've said '100 new ships'. It more likely means variants.
This raises an interesting possibility if those variants can be bought.
Corporations will only really interest me a lot if they are themselves expanding. Static corporations who don't widen their influence as the game goes, on will be, well, just another set of station name prefixes of little interest.
I want corporations who start small and gradually increase in influence as you play, and against whom you can war without annoying the race whose sector they happen to be in. If trading with some makes others hostile that would also be good.
I think I might be hoping too much though.
I'm sure I will enjoy X3:TC, but I'm taking a lot of the hype with a pinch of salt.
Particularly the one about 'largest X universe ever'. How much larger? One more sector is larger, hows about a ball park figure?
I'm rather suspicious about the lack of a number when they've provided an aproximate one for the new ships. What could it possibly hurt? Unless once again its just a small number tacked on to an otherwise identical map.
X3 was supposed to have a load more sectors, but it had hardly any, basically just the same old map with different gate positions and a few new sectors.
Can I get myself lost in X3:TC? Will I be able to fly for hours exploring sectors that I've never seen before? We shall see.
I won't be visiting the forums for months after I buy X3:TC. I want no chance of finding things out before I discover them myself (like people posting spoilers without the tag), so if it is the case that they've exaggerated X3:TC, then at least it'll be a while before I find out. Of course if they haven't, then I get to find out without anyone else telling me first.
