New update out on X rebirth. Anything new, it's been awhile since there has been an update.

My favorite comment is when you try to stop them from doing something because you changed your mind or made a mistake and when you give them the new order they say: "sorry sir, I'm busy at the moment' and keep right on going...lol. :wink:

I've lost interest in modding rebirth, and playing the game as a whole. Its just not X anymore and i dont like what it is now, I've gone back to modding AP full time on the X-Timelines mod.

I will maintain MCE's compatibility with patches for an unknown period of time, Also nexus is giving me lots of crap errors so im done with that.

This upsets me more than I thought it would. Hopefully someone picks up a torch here. I can't imagine sticking with this game if these commands weren't put in the game by Ego and I had to rely on this mod still months down the road. Mods have kept me playing a game for months even years. First time I've ever run into the possibility of not playing a game due to a mod.

Modders keep jumping ship. This makes me very sad for XR, it has amazing potential and a beautiful engine...

you know your in trouble when the modders leave, they're usually the last to go, so things aren't looking good for X Rebirth, sorry to say. :wink:

Bernt said way back there that having only one ship and drones would make everyone happy, well he was wrong. If we don't have something bigger and better to look forward to then the story is all there is then its over. Its hard making any excitement for a game that has no lasting values, all the other games had ships that were hard or nearly impossible to get and I worked for weeks trying, Here, there's nothing, so playing the story now, when its over...don't know yet, especially since drones and ships in general don't have proper commands and act like brain dead zombies...running into stations and getting tangled up until some fighter puts them out of their misery.

Yeah its sadly just not X.

The games plot does get finished at some point, then what are you left with?

You're in alone on a cold december night, you fancy a bit of a space game and say to yourself....i think ill put on X:Rebirth and do a bit of

scanning cargo aimlessly

playing the highways minigame

walk about a station

do missions with little point or reward

No, you would do none of these things.

You would most likely want to expand your trade empire with stations or a few more cap ships and go destroy something.

atm this just isn't possible

People like Jack should be here to increase a games enjoyment, not enable you to move a god damned ship.

Thanks for making it possible for me to do more than i should have been

well i really hope he rethinks his decision;

otherwise our forum zombies^^ like me will be in serious problems, loosing a really very awsome MOD and its progger.

On the other hand i can absolutely understand why he decidet like he did.

If u buy a game u should "normaly" be able to use most of the time >playing< the game and not ^fixing^ it cause the ones who should have didnt.

This is truly disappointing to many here who had hope for X-Rebirth. I can't blame you seeing as the game was half there when you first started on the mod.

The mod in its self is highly valued now, but theoretically it should not be needed once the dev's fix the basics or a larger mod incorporates the commands.

and after spending $50 on software you shouldn't then have to spend your own time making it useable (not custom, just useable).

As you are discontinuing it, how does one wean oneself off it? I uninstalled and then it told me my saves were incompatible, so i had to re install the mod

You don't need to uninstall it. You can continue using it just fine. Jack will just not be adding more features.
