There's abit of a mesh clash at the nose here I think you should cover up.

Hey expnobody, you mentioned that you want to make USC M0 in the future (I love that idea), Maybe you could, in the same time with USC M0, finish your epic Paranid ship:

I think that front guns looks kinda out of place. Maybe you could put them "inside" nose structure kinda like Battlestar Pegasus:

nah, the structure of the head is too different from Peagasus..it wont work..

Very good ship - what is bothering me is the size of Kyoto - is this a vanilla size?


Back to the command ship - it kinda looks like a mix of X2 Titan, Starship Trropers ship and Cadius design.

Any Idead what it will be capable of? I think that combat wise it should be a bit weaker, but have a special features like large cargo hold (with station carry ability like TL) and maybe a M7M missile launcher (but with it, it should have very limited main laser guns, or only light/M6 turret mounts).

i never see X2 Titan before, but Starship Trooper style engine you got it right there (i used to dream fly one of those star shpis and now i am making one :lol: )

it's capable of external M2/M1/TL and M6/M8/TS/TP docking, internal fighter hanger. it should have a ST size cargo bay, 2~4 missile turrets, rest should be AA guns for missile defense

when i imported the kyoto the model is strangely small compare to a normal ship, so i scale it up 5000% judging by the internal M6 hanger. so that should be the actual size

I think that you should size the both ships comparing to Cadius Valhalla, as she is a perfect size for M0 - still the biggest ship of all, but not too big (smaller than vanilla Valhalla) - as too big ships are nothing but problems (not fitting through gate, AI pilot problems, other ships avoidance problems).

Also - too big ship have problems with turrets as it's hardcoded that turrets can track target to 15 km max, while average long range laser has range 9-10km - too big ship will have problems with turret coverage, tracking and combat (to such extend that the ramming would be more viable obtion than gun battle).

For command ship it might be ok as it has only missiles and AA, but I think that with such size hostile fighter might have problems to enter combat range as avoidance zone might be bigger than figher gun range.


Also x2 - what is the name of this beast ?

the ship is not design to fit combat anyway, it's real power is the ship docking on that thing. i wouldnt put this as M0 but a MSY like Aran, and no, i didnt think of the name for this thing.

Also first, this ships are awesome!
And for the name...
All ships from the Terrans have Nordic Mythology or Asian Names.
How is: Chronos or Zeus?
Thors Hammer where a nice Name, but it gives already a Ship that is called Thor and an other that is called Odin.
Or a Name from an Anime: Space Battleship A.O.B.A. ^^
Agamemnon is a cool Name too.

It could be an Exodus class, because all the Docking options.
Someone could dock some Freighters, take some TLs full of Station parts, some M1s, M2s, many fighters, Corvettes and Frigates and jump out of this part of the Galaxy. xD

Damn that would be fun. ^^
Make a complete new beginning, outside from the X Universe with this big ship as the Start point.

USC names are after Japan cities.
Nordic names are for ATF.

did anyone notice when some argon pilot say "chikujo, your an ass", Chikujo is actually means "god dammit" in Japanese..i just realized that

Some are, the Apollo isn't and neither are the fighers. The Loki is from Freespace 2 and the Jäger is from one of the Freespace games too.

Cadius's original Hakata was from Sins as well but that's getting replaced in the next version of Xtra :)
