Hey Killerog, was here since the begining when this was just a beta, heres the thing.
I tried renaming the mod to my 10.cat and .dat in my x3 Terran Conflict directory, and when I entered the game it said x2 callback mod activated, turn on script editor to enable the mod, etc. But i found it a bit odd, seeing as it was in a saved game and my script editor was already turned on. But I saved, quit and came back to the game anyway, but no sign of the x2 ships anywhere, I can't even script them in. So I tried removing the 10.cat and .dat files again but now I can't play my game from where I saved!
Any way of resolving this, i'd rather have the x2 callback mod to work then have to get rid of it.
Thanks in advance,
Fallencomrade182

I have finally looked at some of your ships in the Apricot Merge Mod. While I won't use the latter, I found that I really like the look of the old Argon Titan. It's a very nice model, though unfortunately with a nervous radar antenna
. Thanks very much for putting that model into X3:TC again
.
I don't think I really want to have all those ships, maybe the Mammoth and the Centaur in addition to the Titan. The Titan made me think of the Utilize and Repair Debris script by X420TokeAlot and Xenon J. The idea behind it is very cool, as you can get rid of the game's station and ship debris - or repair it
. To come to the point, there are lots of X2-style Titans as debris in the X3:TC files. At the moment, this script repairs them as Valhallas, which isn't really what I want. How cool would it be if these wrecks were to become functional X2 Titans again?
In addition, I would probably integrate the X2 Titan as M7 into X3:TC, perhaps with limitation to IBL. It was a very fast ship in X2, and it's pretty small, even compared to the Boreas. It wouldn't hurt if the Argon got something else in addition to the anti-fighter platform Cerberus. Here's a size comparison Cerberus/Your Titan/Boreas (click on small image):

Btw, it's the first time I notice that the Boreas seemed to be inspired by the X2 Titan, just with a big butt
.

That's great to hear, but no, Apricot hasn't updated your ships for the current download yet. The M1's don't allow for docking there, either.killerog wrote:The radar is fixed and has been for a while in my version of the mod. Not sure if Apricot has updated it for his.
Btw, is there any way to make the small open docking bay in the back of Centaur or Titan work?

I'm not concerned about Apricot's mod version, as he could just update with your newest models. I mean docking in that open bay at both ships' rear. I guess this could work similarly like on the Hyperion Vanguard.killerog wrote:Do you mean the old X2 animation docking or just docking in Apricots version ?

I'll have to look at the docking you have on the M1 again in your most recent version, as Apricot's mod still contains non-docking versions. In principle, I'd just like to be able to dock a single M5 to that vintage Titan again, like in X2, but are not too concerned about how this would work.killerog wrote:I could add the same docking that i have on the m1s to them or a different form of docking.

I think your slightly mistaken as the Titan Mk1 from memory of those X2 days could dock 3 M3 fighters, the Titan was the only m2 that could but all M6 corvette's could dock a single m5 underneath at the rear.
As you say tho Ulan Dhor it would be a great feature to have back as this is a top mod!!
I found this: looks like 4 ships...
Argon Titan
Speed: 135 (175)
Acceleration: 6 m/s
Steering: 0.99 (3.99)
Cargo: (Extra Large) 3500 (3500)
Power Generation: 10,000 MW
Ship Bay: 4 ships
Missiles: Hornet
Shields: 5*125 MW
Weapons: (Front Turret (3)) Gamma IRE, Beta to Gamma PAC, Alpha to Gamma
PPC,
Mass Driver and Ion Disruptor
(Right (3) and Left turrets (3)) Beta to Gamma HEPT, Alpha to Gamma PPC,
Mass
driver and Ion Disruptor
(Back turret(3)) Alpha to Gamma IRE PAC and HEPT, Alpha PSG, Alpha PPC, Mass
driver and Ion Disruptor
(up (3) and Down turrets (3)) Gamma IRE, Gamma PAC, Beta and Gamma HEPT,
Alpha to Beta PPC and Ion Disruptor

So I thought I would look at your 1.05 version before I make any silly comments regarding outdated models.
The Titan seems to mostly work in game, although it doesn't have any visible guns and all shots come from within the model. In the X Models 3D viewer, it looks completely weird. The only "gun" that the model viewer recognizes is the front gun start point, which is located a few hundred meters in front of the ship model. The viewer doesn't recognize any of the other guns or firing arches, so I cannot say anything about them, except that I saw the shots in game.
In comparison, the 1.03 (?) model used in Apricot's mod looks normal, apart from the big blind spot downwards.
Is this supposed to be that way?

Hi, Just to let you know the docks on the M2 Mk1 Titan were on the outside...
One on each side like the Hyperion near the back and one on top at the rear of the ship where the to upper engines meet the hull in the middle and the same is repeated underneath which gives the 4 original docks.
Hope that makes sense
