Yes it certainly was epically stupid that thread. Not surprised he deleted it. As for his motives for posting such drivel one can only guess.
My theory is that because he deleted his copy of X rebirth and got a refund, he's really scared that modders will come along and make it awesome. Maybe he hoped to scare off said mod makers with the possibility of legal action. That's all I can think of.

I really do not understand ... XR came as promised - some bugs, true, but it came as advertised. I do not understand these Coias of 'refund' or some extremely exaggerated criticisms about the game.

XR is a great beginning to a new phase of the game as much as the Egosoft itself, a new platform - so to speak - can be extended with new commands, players craft a truly gigantic universe with multiple functions. A big leap.

Sometimes I have the impression that some who post on forums are part of third party [ other] companies and here is just to disrupt. Seriously.

Yeah that was a funny post.
That Gary guy, and some others, they are not only mad about the game, but they really hate it. They don't want to get the game fixed, or mod, or that you even like the game.
Some are very funny to read, some are full of lies, and bashing.
With that last post Gary made, against the modders of the game , he did close it very quickly. I think because he couldn’t win the discussion. But for sure he will pop up with some new post. haha
They “think” they are untouchable and standing strong, because you cannot find any good review about the game. ( they are very rare to find, au)

They make it their life task to bring Egosoft or Steam (refunding or shut down XR from steam.) to his knee. So they got a lot of attention on the forums, and that’s what they like.
So it goes on and on and on. In the meantime, I still playing, with some of your mods.

And it's gone. At least the mods got rid of that garbage. Sometimes I wonder how some people would survive if breathing wasn't an autonomous system of the body...
