Is the original Viper included in this pack and I just can't find it/it hasn't loaded into my game properly? I can't believe what is basically the BSG Flagship wouldn't be in this mod :D And it is the one ship that I'm really interested in flying... Nothing against the newer Vipers but the original models are the ones I love.

Think he might be referring to the original series Battlestar???

Atlantia seems to be the designated 'flagship' (in both series if I recall correctly)


The old viper is not included...

It does make aa cameo appearance in new bsg ... galactica museum - diaspora will be including it in the freespace mod (they it has been remodelled for it)

I've run into a few glitches. For one the texture on the Cylon Heavy raider is black/missing and the cockpit viewpoint seems to have been placed just behind the mesh resulting in a unusable view whereas in previous versions the cockpit was located at the same point as the Cylon eye. Additionally I my Mark VII Vipers continuously crash into the enemies they are targeting, particularly M6s and larger ships. This could be because of the outrageously high speed that they have. Perhaps they should have the same acceleration and combat characteristics as Harriers who seem to have no trouble with combat at high speed.

I have not yet touched any fighter models in this mod so no iudea where those bugs are occuring.

I have been to busy with uni work :( to get much further with this, next weekend is looking better for a new version.

Awesome K, but I forget, does this version of the mod change the sector names (like the original) or does it just add ships?

erm... i install the mod and when i start a new game, enable sricpt editor, dock some where and load and save, there are no BSG ships. Am i doin somit wrong?

well... some kind of BSG ship... somewhere... i know i sound kinda stupid here but is there a shipyard that sells the BSG ships or somit?

Argon Prime shipyard should be selling BSG ships.

But I dont think you are likely to see any bsg ships flying around. That was never properly done in the original mod. At best, only a few turn up as ships respawn.

Once its complete, the full version (which includes the renamed sectors and hud display) of the mod could be modified for this. What is needed is that most of the Argon ships get changed to say extra race 2, so that when the game populates the sectors, only the bsg ships show up as available to use. Plus a few essentials like the standard TL's. Not quite sure what you do with Argon One though, as it should be a Pegasus type, but that changes the entire spec. However, it should be possible to copy the Pegasus spec into the slot used by the Argon One without changing the ID. Same thing with the Xenon ships, need reracing so only the BSG ships get used.

But this is minor work once the ships are finally completed.
