I managed to think of a method last night as I was drifting asleep; the script could check ship class, then watch for incoming missiles with heavy damage output. However, I don't know if you can check for incoming laser bullets. Not to mention it'd be a good chunk of scripting and one hell of a CPU clogger.

Yeah, probably not worth it in my opinion, I'll just play more cautious and eject whenever a Heavy Torpedo gets within 2kM :P Shame really, hopefully Egosoft will put escape pods, or something, in Rebirth so that those of us who don't like reloading on death (I feel it's such an emersion breaker) have an alternative.

If you have enough cargo space remaining and a ship that can handle with moskito missiles try out Lucikes Missile Defense "Moskito".
You will find a description in the english scripts & mods-forum and can download it here:http://www.xuniversum.info/download/x3_ ... _V3201.zip
The Moskitos are perfect as a missile defense.

My ship ejected my pod purfectly :D The presidential pod is comfortable 8) looked out the port hole to see my marines jumping up and down through my ships observation deck windows. Just before the deck exploded :o Wish there was more room  end personal log.

Heya LV.

Absolutely love this script, been testing it for a few hours now and its great. I only wish the pods would be triggered on insta-death aswell, too bad its hardcoded.

I was wondering though, would it be possible to add a pod too my current ship whenever I load a save, switch ship etc. So I wouldn't have to visit an equipment dock everytime? ( Kind of making it standard equipment in every ship )
Don't mind the price, just would like to have a pod ready all the time to eliminate as much save reloading as possible.

Anyway, love the script, cheers :)

Does anyone know if this works with Albion Prelude?

I loved this mod for TC (despite the inability to save me from insta-deaths :P) and I think it would be a nice addition to AP.

I 've been using it in AP and it apparently works just like it did in TC

3 questions.

1. Is it possible to have other crew (passangers/marines) also ejected in such pods (let's say 4 in each)? Any chance for such feature in future?

2. Does someone have "cockpit" model suitable for this (2 sofas oposite to each other inside a cube :P )?

3. Was that just my game, or is it a feature from your side, that the pod was surrounded by spaceflies all the time?

You may want to add this to bonus pack, it is a great addition that adds a missing and unique role to the game
I noticed that too :) Those bastards finish player off. Even drones killed me. Weird that devs didnt make system of auto eject and didnt make chance of being killed by pirates or aggressive races but spared by those non aggressive races. And drones should ignore spacesuit. But egosoft developers are not thinking about such details :( they just want to make cash and leave most work to moders.

I like that script. Great idea and great work.
