He has a web site with the downloads, apparently programmed in PHP.
I assume for security reasons you did not click on a link with a strange extension, but your browser should be capable of navigating to that page if you click on it.

In any case, the link is also in the first post of the thread, about the middle of the post. Its the same link tho :)

I also always add a text link for downloads so the visually challenged can hit CTRL-F and use their browser's search feature to jump there.

I got the same problem as NoXxx when upgrading to version 4.02 from 4.0
All the factories of all my complexes were released and I had to crunch and reconnect them again.
Moreover, when I "re-crunched" them, le complex modules were set up right at the center of the sector. Is this gonna be a problem ?

btw : I don't manage to use the command "relocate". In fact, it seems to work but the complex stays at the same place.
It's probably me having problems to undertand how it works.
I hope someone will be able to help me :s

edit #2 : I forgot to mention that I'm using a "steam" version of the game, which has not been upgraded to 2.0 yet. Could the problem(s) come from this ?

Can not reproduce.

plugin.gz.CmpClean.2.0.convert only runs if CC was installed in the loaded savegame and if that previous CC version number was lower than 4.00.

I'm pretty sure "relocate" works. It doesn't work instantly but did you really expect that? I mean look at the size of that thing!

And your english is one helluvalot better than my french.

No. Having the more current TFactories doesn't hurt. Your game just doesn't do anything with the extra 2.0 factories, yet.

Great MOD. it has worked out wonderfully for me. I do, However seem to have run into 1 problem.

I did a bunch of "drops" in antigone memorial. However when i fly in to crunch them a lot of them explode. i think it may have dropped them into a planet. is there anyway to relocate the factories before i fly into the sector?

anyway thanks for the mod and any help with this problem :)

Sounds like you dropped them on top of the asteroid feild in there.

ya the drop is kinda random. but its so far off the plain i thought they would be fine. however jump in and boom lose half the factories. its one of my crystal fabs for the hub, so i wanna get it going as I'm gonna need those crystals. the good news is that the stations don't explode unless i jump in, so all i have to do is find a way to move them OOS.

so far i haven't found a script that does that. that's why i posted in here to see if anyone else had run into this , and had any suggestions.

The only suggestion I can make is to use the cheat script to destroy the stations that are exploding, then add new ones to your TL and then drop them normally this time.

I'm going to try to reinstall the mod, and we'll see what happens.
and congratulations for this great mod :) (and for the others too !)

edit : I tried to reinstall complex cleaner manually and as soon as the message about the aldrin stuff appears ("Fixing the aldrin mess"), all the complexes were dismantled. I guess I'm going to reconnect them manually.


news from the front :
it's awful. My complexes are created right in the middle of the sector as I explained yesterday.
For one of them, it's even built ON the plutarch HQ (I let you guess the mess this can trigger). I don't manage to move it to a safer position.
When you use the "relocate" function, the map of the universe appears, then you choose the sector and finally the position you want (Am I wrong ?).
But when I choose the position, nothing happens (should an icon appear on the map where I clicked ?) although I get the vocal message saying that the complex has been relocated.
Has the "relocate" function been translated into french as the others were ? (doesn't seems to on the french thread)


If nobody has an answer, I guess I'm going to wait for 2.0 upgrade from steam (next year maybe) before playing this savegame again, cause every factory explodes, one by one

About stations exploding in Antigone, it's because the planet is way nearer than most sectors. Dropcrunch while out sector, then move in to link up. I suspect there is no line in the script to check if dropped location is inside a planet.

So why do you fly into this sector then?

See above. The drop command is completely random and only to be used in sector if you're feeling particularly lucky.

These are temorary stations, built so you can keep your pre-2.0 complexes at all.

They are freshly built stations, not finished complex modules.

EDIT: From now on those stations are renamed to "Temporary Station" when they are created.

The alternative is to have all your CC complexes destroyed completely. If you'd prefer that...

Well, I fly there to run the crunch command. if it can be done without the trip i must be doing something wrong. if i try to run it OOS it Autojumps me IS.

Oh, and I should point out that im using the last version you put out before 2.0 was released, as i am a Steam user and don't have 2.0.

while im asking questions. should i update versions before the patch is released or after for the 2.0 conversion process?

When upgrading from v4.0 to 4.02 do we use the next Cat/dat in line or do we overwrite the cat/dat from the previous CC install. IE do we basically change the old CC cat/dat to the current or simply have 2 sets of cat/dat for CC one old and one new.

Hope this question makes sense.

It's best to replace it.
X3 reads these files only once and it's irrelevant how many times you overwrite the same file with a different version.

Question:

I'm unable to bring up the Complex Cleaner command via my command console when flying an atmospheric lifter, does anyone know why this is? I can hop over to my Mammoth and it works just fine. Pop back to my lifter... doesn't show up.

Any ideas?

Doh, you know what you are absolutely right, that's exactly what happened. I could have sworn I had one on there, but I double checked and sure enough, no beam.
