I had this problem since a long time, but so many scripts installed, so many things to do IG, I never tried to solve it and just forgot about bounty hunter missions when it happened.

So I dock at a station and accept a bounty mission, but I dont go hunting right away and when I do, the time has elapsed since long. So the guy is docked and it seems he's not willing to do anything else than stay in this station. But the real problem is that now all bounty missions are given with only 1 mizura to be completed. So every time I take one bounty, the guy is just sitting in a station.

I have already reinstalled the script several times, and updated, and I even reinstalled X3 in a clean folder once, but sooner or later the bounties are given with only 1 mizura to be completed.

Anyone have the solution to solve this? Sorry if that question was answered already, I just didnt feel like reading 23 pages :oops:

the scripts are getting stuck and im not sure y
but im actually rewriting the ship control scripts, so hopwfully that will fix it.

one thing you can do is check if the script is still running on the ship, if its not, then the reason for the problem is simple.

normally staying in the scripts shouldn't cause a program, as the scripts should just remove the bounties after the time anyways, so it means the script is either not running on the ship anymore, or is stuck somewhere.

but like i said, im in the process of rewriting them so hopefully that will solve the problem :)

I have the problem that the same bounties with one Mizura are been shown. I never get any new bounty offers, just the same three.

Hiya

question tracked down 2 schips so far but how do u get paid?

first one i tought must be me
2nd i made a save game just before i killed the schip, so i could pay attention to if i got the bounty mony
had 86K gold before and same after do i have to claim it somewhere?
would be Celw do, "Here is his head now give me the money" 8) .
its was split jaguar -sm5 something in Family Zein

Hiya me again

found something of a bug.

When u capp a bounty schip ure still charged for Tracker info locations when u ask that using additional commands.

sell the schip and u gotto pay les 5K less or something

iill have to fix the problem with capped ships, didn' releasse it still displays the tracking information

Beta Version:
V2.60a
* Fixed tracking information for captured ships
* Rewritten bounty control scripts
* Added bounty hutners guild Headquaters
* Joining guild is only avaialble from headquaters

The beta vesion is to test the new system of moving between stations, this should hopefully fix the problem of ships getting stuck at stations.
So this is something that neds to be a long term test, just play as normal and see if you notice ships still getting stuck at stations

As per your PM (sorry, it never occured to me to check this thread) i downloaded your beta.... however i now have
"readtext2010-1219" and "readtext2010-1241" in the ship additional commands window (the only commands i have showing is the remove home base and Camo device) and
SS_WARE_SW_NEW12 and SS_WARE_SW_NEW16 at the split EQ,
Readtext17-10453 at teladi EQ.
the ship i believe is one of the bounties is showing Readtext7124-6

all commands referencing other scripts (i dont hve many others) are working as normal.... and all those have happened since installing your beta

after installing the beta i re-initialised script cache, reloaded and the errors are still the same

EDIT: after reloading the additional commands menu shows Race military view status, but shows readtext2010-1217, *-1219, *-1241

its a problem with the text file. unfrotuatlly i've been having lately as the one i had curropted so i've been trying to peice it together.

hopefully ill have the fixed text file soon :)

in the meantime i had to actually remove all your scripts with the installer, and reinstal the original spk. simply reinstalling didnt work (dont know if the installer checks versions and or dates.....) but now after this everything is working right

as a note

split EQ errors were:
Afterburner 1 and 2
teladi EQ salvage claim software mk1
the aditionial ship missing commands were the
Bounty hunters guild trtacking info
mercenary guild: hire/fire
view guild status

I did not check if the pirate bases or paranid eq had any reradtext errors but i do know the boron eq and argon eq docks were fine

basically all the problems are from a single file, the 447532.xml which is the file im having problems with.

im attempting to peice it together from various older versions till i get it working :)

and yes, the installer does check dates and versions so it only installers newer versions of the files

Ok downloaded the beta version again.... reinit the cache, reloaded, and watched the remaining bounty ship... still at the station... (the other one has simply disappeared).... still hasnt left after 20 mins on seta, so i disabled the spawn bounty ships in the AL settings... this removed the ship altogether.... will find other bounties to see if the problem is resolved.

Note: the previous download of the beta actually worked in regards to making the bounties move again, despite the text errors

UPDATE: the new bounty did not spawn inside a station and is roaming space... everything appears to be working as normal

UPDATE2: I dont know what you updated... but damned it was one hell of an improvement! Before, i was getting two different bounties showing up at one time, no matter where i was... now i have seen 6 different ones (at different stations of course)
