But it's easy. You just need to set up 20+ sector or universe traders and a few complexes. I suggest space fuel. Than you'll just have to wait a few gamedays.BDK wrote:Holy crud that's expensive. I'll never ever get that amount of cash. Ever.

You'll have to double-check that you copied the existing numbers into the solver correctly, then check if you placed the answers correctly into the grid.
Yes, it is extremely frustrating and I hate it as well. But take it slowly and make sure you copy everything correctly and the whole thing will end eventually.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

That means you haven't discovered the target station yet. I suggest getting a handful of Kestrels to sweep the sector for you (run the "Map sector" command) to discover all of the Aldrin stations while your OOS. Then, when you jump back in the mission guidance will tell you exactly where to go.Hubert99 wrote:I wish I was at that stage ... so far I am stuck in Aldrin, with no guidance.

I had Aldrin mapped long before this quest. I know where that base is ... no book, no quest icon on it. I even have a Kestrel docked there. Pretty much have all stations mapped, in search of the elusive EEMPC Forge.KloHunt3r wrote:That means you haven't discovered the target station yet. Anyway, I did go to that base following the guide, docked, nothing.
Reloaded the game, I had a save before I talk to the boron in Queen's Retribution, went through the whole process again, I even tried to not change ships, still, I jump into Aldrin, and I have no mission guidance.
How many of this ship production bases are there ? Maybe I missed the right one ?

This is becoming annoying ... so I do my business ... doing the HUBplot, than I finish the Goner one, currently working on OFF. So far, no problems.
Than I fly to my home sector just to get a distress call that a CPU ship is moving towards a Teladi sector. Being kind at soul, I though I'd help them out. If I'd only knew. I didn't even want to do this plot yet, but I read that every time you reject it, the number of enemy ships increases. So I said, at least I'll do it until I can leave it there for a while, to rest, doing my business.
First, got so many times tricked by that first encounter. I mean to figure out that eventually the UFJD will get you where you are supposed to. Than some cryptic message about a TM, and bring fighters. Than you learn by trial and error, and off the forums, that any ship you do not directly control, is instapopped by the mission script. Nice. Only that having so many enemy ships there, a lumbering tincan close by, how do I suppose to realise that my ship wasn't blown to pieces by the use of lasers and missiles ? Anyway ... than killing those threating M4s was a pain. I died countles times, firts because I tried to fight them using a doicked M3, just to have my TM explode. Than sending the nova, just to have it explode. Than trying to missile them, but the station got aggroed. Than eventually, very carfully, I did agress the M4s one by one, using a single mosquito, lead it away a bit, than had my Boa's turrets attack it. Eventually, I managed to dock, and get the passengers. This very firts mission was challenging, but not in a good way. It was challenging to realise what you are supposed to do, while having minimal feedback from the game itself. It did not reward creativity at all. It rewards uber forum geekness, using shady unexplained events like that exploding thing.
After a frustrating afternoon, I did manage to dock in Elena's Fortune with my passengers. I said, I'll leave this plot unti I am done doing the HUB, and having some fun the way I am used to.
But no ! Now, I have a sector, with an angry mob of terraformer ships. Every now and than, an UT goes in and gets killed. After a few losses, I though, let's finish this annoying plot. Not knowing what the reward was ... I have to do it now, even if I don't want to, to protect my odd UT.
So I embark on it ... I go to Queens Retribution. I dock the shipyard with my Hyperion. Strangely, I find myself in the fighter hangar. Ok, I sad, nice shipyard, you can dock M6 as an M3, finally something unusual. Yea. When I hit undock, BOOOOM. ofc, the exit gate is too small for a Hyperion.
Eventually I just bought an M5, undocked got out of sector, and told the Hyperion to jump to me. That worked.
Now, at this point my patience was severly tested, and I decided, I read the spoiler part of the plot, to save myself percios time and some nerves. Ok, I read that I need afast ship to find the next being I need to talk to. I Bought a kestrel. Ofc Aldrin is not new to me. I have mapped it immediatly as I got in, and had M5s docked in all existing stations. I did a few personal tour, just tom make sure I have everything on my map.
So, now I think, this seconf mission I'll do it fast before lunch. But it's 7:45 PM, after a few Starcraft II matches, to relax a bit, I try to reaload former saves and got into Aldrin again and again, as now, there is no guidance for me. The position given in an earlier post, corresponds to the shipyard in my game. Only that there is no mission NPC anywhere. Basicly, I am stuck. I have 30k silicon to deliver to the HUB. I was hoping today, I will start microchip production, adding chip plants to my crystal plexes. But no. I have a new home to find. Only that I am lost. Now, I do not want to give up on this plot. But I want to play. If I play, and the plot is broken, and I need to restart, I will use considerable gametime. So practicly, I am stuck for good.
I already had to stop playing the game once when I only had 100k crystals to deliver. Because of mods, and bad savegame management. I said, I will do the plots in my vanilla game, maybe that way I am less prone to lose 20 gamedays of playtime. But apparently, no guarantees.
I am stuck with my vanilla game, unmodified, doing an official plot. Pleae help, otherwise I might not set foot again in the X-verse ... I am not young exaclty, and can't afford to lose my valuable time.

Uploading a savegame, so that someone else can have a look at it, would be a possibility.
