XTC 1.2 released.

1.2 - Bug fix release. [25/06/2011]
Fixes/changes:
  • Fixed missing claim option for bailed ships. (While in a spacesuit.)
  • Blocked ware consumption task from consuming upgrades.
  • Restored ware stock on upgrades. (Related to above.)
  • Adjusted factory rel vals.
  • Merged in more camera position fixes from Draffutt. (Thanks.)
  • Added a fix for Statistics Centre.
  • Added automated drone repairs on player owned drone carriers. Drones will now be repaired when they are docked.
  • Added dummy entries into Tfactories for Gaz's Complex Cleaner.
  • Fixed ECM. (Some parameters were wrong because we shifted the shield indexes by one prior to release. Example: Capital ship ECM was way too weak)
  • Added Player Owned Shipyard fixes.
  • Blocked equipment docks from spewing tunings when they are repackaged.
  • Added new effects to stop Kyon beams from lagging the hell out of your system.
  • Changed all Kyon variations to safe values in order to solve the reported lags on several customer systems. Kyons are a even deadlier than before, especially the bigger ones.

  • Added fix for the bailing crash.
  • Akurei fix fixed.
  • Fix to remove leftover 'buy ship' mission ships.
  • Bombers have their range reduced, some Bomber missiles are toned down a bit.
  • Bombers have also had changes to yaw pitch roll and speed/acceleration, which are too complex to write a short explanation here. ;)
  • When changing products on a factory, playership is now properly undocked automatically.
  • Laser rel. values adjusted. (Fixes stalled production for some weapons.)
  • Switched Complex Construction Kits back to Argon default ones. (At least the Terran ones were broken.)
  • Fixed some ghost tasks slowing down the game over time
  • Emergency jump code added.
  • Added the R6 console (Repair, re-arm, etc, etc.) for player ships and activated automated hull repairs, docked fighter repairs, docked fighter re-ammunition, recall damaged fighters and automated retreat.
  • Hull regen values adjusted.
  • Fixed some vanilla signal_attacked bugs which blocked subsequent calls.
  • Added new Salvage Insurance AL (disallows saving in hostile sectors but makes sure you can always save in friendly ones - if you can afford it).
  • Lasertowers are now properly shielded again.
  • The repair laser is now added to the spacesuit on easy difficulty. (In-game difficulty menu.)
  • Weapon/shield production complexes limited to one product to make them "complex safe", also you are automatically asked to configure them on placement now (can still reconfigure them as needed).
  • Lifeform loot now decays.
  • Yaki shipyard changed to fix docking problems.
  • Fixed a performance leak in the GNS which was responsible for game stutters / freezes if the GNS was not used for a while

Thanks xtc x-tended team!!!!!!!

Aragon Speed,

Thanks for posting, Cooooooool !!!!

Thanks, been waiting to get lost in a game again. I do look forward to 2.0 also.

XTC question? with all the talk which overlapped, can you clarify about gamesave to 2.0 when it comes out. I know 1.1 will not make it to 2.0, BUT DOES 1.2 make it to 2.0 with a game save or a new restart will be needed?

ModDB files are on the waiting queue - afaik the site administrators have to check each file manually to see if it is not a harmful program or something. So it could take a few hours, or a day or two, for the upload to be available from there. Nothing we can do to make it faster :(

So for now, well, try to make due with the torrent.

Can't you at least make a direct download for the patch? Those few kbs will definitely not ovewhelm your server....

I am trying the torrent, I wait 30 seconds, and then it repeats itself over and over.

I am sorry guys, now you page does not work at all. To be honest, to release a non working MOD which crashes in every battle, then wait three months to release a patch and then forcing us to use torrents when there are hundrets of file hosting services like hotfile or rapidshare is simply stupid. I even do not want to try the patch anymore, there are other games I can download and play without any trouble...

Then I suggest you go and play those, and stop complaining

I can appreciate your frustrations, but the links were only put up a couple of hours ago, and seding will take a while :)

Yes, good advice, that one really helped. I do not care about seeding, when I can not even download the torrent file! I wait 30 seconds, and then it starts from 30 again and again.

On thexuniverse download tab, off to the right 1.2 download xtc, clicked and continued.

the torrent does download if you "click here" below the image if it does not start. Then popup window starts nothing while the under window below is ready? closed the popup and went back to the original download window. Since I did not have a torrent unzipper, I download the one from thexunivers FileTorrent installer.

When starting it I declined all that crap like yahoo toolbar, entertianment shareware, and other thing.

To my suprise it installed all that carp anyway and I just spent the last 30 minutes unistallting that torrent unzipper add ons. With just the "Firetorrent" I selected the XTC game file only, it installed there, then that file torrent started to install everywhere else like my actaul X3TC games files also?@#$????? So I just cancled it.

It is contiually trying to get through my fire wall to update? I really dont care for programms that try to circumvent choices and insatll stuff that was select "NO" and tryies to keep insatlling itself. No I am in the process of manually removing all those files and folders of yahoo toolbars and share entertaiment junk.

I am in the process of unistalling that fire torrent......
.....and just wait for the regular mod installer in a few hours or days if it takes that!

If Thexuniverse has a preffered torrent program fine, but the one on the site has allready pinged my firewall 5 times trying to install XQ installer? even after I told it NO and blocked that XQ installer? What gives????

If thexuniverse suggest a GOOD clean torrent program please recommend one. It could help out with alot of other torrent scripts from crycow and others that post.

There seem to be some issues with the website currently, thus here is a direct download for the patch-torrent-file.

Seems, as if there is currently no download for the full version, though.

[EDIT:] @mangar: I am using BitTorrent myself, but I think most other torrent-programs should work as well.

Thanks,

BTW - Do you recommend a clean torrent installer that does not come with self crap installers of toolbars, web games, shared entertainment folders and junk that trys to get around your firewall?

I know that torrent unzipper software does not come directly or endorsed by thexuniverse but from the site I guess a ad or link brought me to that software and I am not really thrilled what it did on my computer.

Please recommend a decent free torrent handler software.

Bit Torrent 7.2.1 seems pretty good and clean.

O.K. I have downloaded and installed the patch. Yet, the game still crashes during combat :-( Is it because I used a savegame from 1.1? Are you also having the problem, or is it just me?

I will google it and give it a try, maybe later I can give the 1.2 install a try after work.

EDIT: That worked great, quick and clean, just after it installed I only had to unistall the bittorrent toolbar. Seems not to be trying to get around my firewall either.

Again, thanks Alan Phipps

PS all: You think that egosoft or thexuniverse would make a link on their sites to decent tools to send their fans to when they are without such software. or at least links pointing "don't have a such and such....try here, here, or here link"

As there are some issues with TXU atm (again... ), here are direct download links for the torrents.

Full version: http://www.thexuniverse.com/downloads.p ... 76&do=file

Patch: http://www.thexuniverse.com/downloads.p ... 75&do=file

Direct download versions will be available from ModDB whenever they feel like adding the files.
