Maybe in a year or two when they milk it for all its worth. I'm very happy they removed the copy protection from X2! In fact, I've pretty much given up on X3 for a few months. I just went back to playing X2 and am quite happy. I wish they'd go ahead and release X3 as an update to X2 like they were thinking about doing just for the people that still play X2. :D

I Would like my MOUSE not to freeze up when i load the game, Pressing Alt.Control.Delete is a pain in the Arse. Then Restarting the Computer the Game might load maybe not. I Didn't have this
trouble with X2.

Maybe they'll release a .PDF with a complete and useful user manual for those of us new to the XUniverse.

There seems to be a worrying trend now for games to be released when they obviousley are'nt ready yet. Having paid 30£ for the game I don't want to wait months on end for patches that fix problems that should'nt really be there in the first place. X2 is a joy to play and I think unless this patch brings the game to somewhere near good enough I'll be playing it, instead of X3. Just wish I woulda waited for the game to drop a bit in price and the patches to be out before wasting my money on the game as is. Time will tell if this game actually lives up to what all us X2 fans have been waiting a long time for and with X2 as a good starting point this should've been a reasonably simple task. All I wanted from X3 was an expansion on the X2 universe that gives more to find when you do bother to explore and more interraction with the stations and authorities. Personally I hope this fixes the major problems because I would hate for the sequal to one of my favourite games to end up all dusty on the back of a high shelf.

Just so that I can know when to call work and tell them I'll be out sick for awhile.
since theres less than 2 weeks b4 christmas is there much point them telling us what weeks its going to be in ? :P

Great news on the patch, I installed the 1.2.01 patch before I even started playing (didn't get the game straight away). I haven't seen any problems with the game (2 CTD's, but that's nothing major in my book). I didn't start the missions straight away, I went collecting abandoned ships and mapping out the universe. when I started mission 2, the chase through the buildings was so jumpy I had no chance of hitting anything! I hope the patch irons this out.

My Spec. is AMD Athlon 3200+, 1Gb RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 (256Mb), 300Gb Raid 0 Array.

I think this is quite low for the game, but i have been alright up until mission 2. I would like to know how you find out your FPS, out of interest.

Thanks for the news on the patch, look forward to getting it!
