Oh that other cockpit is an M8 cockpit? Damn this engine mod.

Could those red lines on the M3 cockpit be removed as well?

About the concept of the mini-sector map, I like it.

This is probably the best cockpit mod I've ever seen. You've really done A LOT of freakin' cockpits here! Are there any player-controlled ships that don't have cockpits?

I also wanted to report that on my 1440x900 (16:10 aspect) monitor, driving the TS (Mecury) that the glass on the far left side of the cockpit appeared to not completely fit. Hope it helps! :)

Hi, your cockpits are great! Now I have got a "but" to it (sorry  )

The dust changes, when I use your cockpit-mod. Instead of being soft and subtile effect of dust that flies in space, there are sharp and bright small points in space, that are quite disturbing. Can I / you fix that?

My game is on version TC 2.5. Could that be the problem? (Does your mod not work with this last patch?)
Thank you for help.

EDIT: I found the ( or my ) problem in the objects\environments\dust.pbd and ...\dustBig1.17.pbd and i deleted them - now its all fine for me! ;-)

Download Issue!!

I would love to download this mod, but that site isn't safe. Can you post the file for download some where else?

Like filefront which is half safe anyway lol.

Just 1 question if I may,

Looking through the cockpit from inside, all is blue outside even when sectors are different in colour. Is that how it's meant to be?

EDIT: I presume it's the glasses effects. How do you delete 543.jpg, 1000.jpg, 1001.jpg of this mod?

Just bought the game on steam and am looking foward to having the cockpits back. A quick question though... how do I install the mod, because the game is installed through steam? Has anybody else done this? Thanks.

You will find the folder in the Steam/Steamapps/common/x3Terranconflict folder.

You can either place it in the mods folder and select it from the launcher or make it a "fake patch" by changing the cat/dat names to the next highest number in the main TC folder...i.e, 1.cat 2.cat etc.

I put the two files into this directory:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\x3 terran conflict\mods

And then I select the mod on the splash screen. When I boot up the game though, the cockpits aren't there. How do I fix this? Do I need to install it as a fake patch? And if so, I'd rename the files 01.dat/01.cat but what happens to the others ones with that name? Do they get over written? Thanks for the help.

You don't rename it to 01.dat/01.cat. What you do is use the next available number. So for example if your directory has a cat/dat number of 10 which is the highest number than rename PSCO's cockpit's cat/dat files to 11.

Excellent. The only disadvantage with having it installed via the MODs folder is that you cannot use another Mod. I recommend you place it in the main TC folder as a false patch that way cockpits will always show up if or when you use another mod.
