Hmm... cliffhangers ftl :lol: Nah, seriously - I've never had a fatal run-in at a gate while being in a kestrel - it's maneuverable and fast enough to get out of the way in time (provided you have decent reflexes). Still, I do hope that's not the end of our hero :P

For some reason that "pull up" warning gave me flashbacks to the very first flight sims i used to play back in the early 90's. (Falcon 3.0)

Lets hope Leo didnt get himself smeared all over the windshield of some random M1/M2. *bites nails*

EDIT: owh btw, i might have missed it but does N-S (Leo) have a set 'endgame' goal? I think it was completing all the plot missions etc?

I personally suspect that the DiD rule is a little flexable, and that a death by running into the hood of a Thrasher 1/10'th of a second after coming out a gate is exempt from this rule in N-S's stories, due to the tremendous letdown such an end would be.


However, I've always hesitated on calling N-S about this, since, honestly, if he does it like that, I don't want him to feel compelled to stop, which drawing attention to it might do.

Actually with just a bit of caution it's fairly easy to avoid the whole 'bug on a windshield' effect upon coming out of a gate. I'd also point to one of his previous DiD stories, can't remember which, wherein he did bounce of a TM and get shot back through the gate. I've had that happen to me as well, and it's certainly a head scratcher until you figure out what went wrong. :)

How? At some point you've got to go though that gate, and unless you have the time, money and patience to send another ship though you to make sure it's safe each and every time, you're going to not know what's on the other side until you're there.

And that's where the autopilot gets useful!!!
It will wait for your turn to go through the gate safely. Never crashed into anything when passing through using the autopilot.

N-S hasn't got anything that is likely to be runover whist exiting a gate, you need to appear in the centre of the gate for that to happen IME.

Nice cliff-hanger though :wink:

ugh i just recently, like last night, got plastered in my vidar after i jumped to a gate and an Argon Titan decided to do the same thing at the same time.....needless to say it was a little bigger than me

I keep being suprised that N-S has so much fun playing TC without any custom scripts of mods....maybe i should try that insted of spending 80% of the time tinkering with mods/scripts.
