I hope a fix for the gating issue might be coming. Still having issues, where the leader goes through the gate and then get the attack command. This then leads to a failed mission.
I look forward to the new additions. As always your scripts really make x3 playable.

Is there anyway to kickstart this script, as I don`t get any starting messgaes on the BBS. Possible cause might be the no trash BBS script/mod i`m running, along with many others.
I restarted, and went through the whole main plot quests, without really looking at a bbs the whole time. After completeing I was gonna start on the military, but I don`t get any joining BBS messages, and I have checked lots. Even went to the military SY`s around and nothing. None of the races are offering.
If not then I guess i`ll just have to make do with your merc script which is running fine.

iv got a slight problem with the script, im playing on the Kha'ak start and i joined up with the pirate military but when i went out to do a patrol mission with them they were hostile and the target they went after was me and they also wanted me to attack my self.
So i guess there question is what can i do to fix this little problem if its possible.

As this is the military and not a guild I think you should be able to join only one race's forces. Also it doesn't make sense that you pay for joining.
To even that out there should be compulsory missions every now and then. (Starting with a player message, not the BBS.) For failing those you get *random punishment* ie. a black mark or notoriety loss.
Lastly you should get paid for every ship you kill that is hostile to the race you fight for no matter in which sector you are. Like enhancing the police licence to all sectors and increasing the payment. Well, if you implement that, maybe you should still pay for joining the military like you do now.
Just some suggestions to make the script more authentic.
PS.: In the patrol mission the patrol leader sometimes commits suicide by rushing headlong into battle without waiting for his support. I can't stop the attackers from killing him alone...

Just wondering if you ever finished/are working on the problem of patrol missions lasting forever?
BTW, though I don't use this plugin anymore - due to the "no time limit on patrols" problem - I agree that this plugin must be an absolute holocaust with XTM and Xenon Xtreme Migration.
I started a new game about two days ago, with Migration Xtreme, and within about 15 hours, numerous sectors around the galactic centre had been utterly decimated. Lol.
I jumped to Omicron Lyrae and found NOTHING - no ships or stations - except for a J and its escort. Nyana's Hideout was being over-run(fleet destroyed and stations were under attack), and ditto Scale Plate Green and a few others.
Stuff the Kha'ak - it's the Xenon who are "the Threat" now. Lol.
I attempted to hold the line, as it were, in Nyana's Hideout, easily dsipatching the fighters in my M7, and placing Balogt's Mobile Command Base and Mobile Mining station to guard the East gate as Xenon fighters swept in from Omicron Lyrae, but when a J and its wingmen showed up at the West gate I had to withdraw!
In the end, I turned the setting down for a while, and updated a scriptset I've written to include Scale Plate Green, Omicron Lyrae and Nyana's Hideout in its list of sectors that get reinforced with new ships every half-hour.
Once they're up to full strength(and I've a few more big ships of my own!), I intend to crank the setting back up and watch the fireworks. Heh heh.

Anyway, yes, I was just wondering if you are any closer to fixing the patrol missions, as I honestly reckon that "Race Military" combined with Xenon Migration on the XTM Xenon-heavy map would be absolutely bonzer!

Having great fun with this script, couple of odd things though. I'm not running the XTM but have encountered the the problem of the disappearing leader.
Also, and I haven't seen anyone report this, at the end of a long mission, I was in a patrol in Home of Light when 3 Khaak destroyers decided to arrive, after a battle, my patrol (including the leader) decided to dock in one of the colossus(es??) that had arrived (I am running the Race response fleet script also), leading to a failed mission.
Still a great script though, looking forward to the new missions

I have experienced a bug. I follow the leader and it flies through gates. OK. BUT. If it enters another sector and there are enemies, after I had entered the sector, I lose the mission.
For example:I joined the patrol in Cloudbase SW and I followed the leader(autopilot). It has entered Ore Belt, and I heard 'attack'. After this, I entered Ore Belt and I saw several Kha'ak ships, but I got a message: mission failed', and the patrol was nowhere. I have experienced this bug several times- I hope, it can be solved.
Edit:There are two more problems:
1.: When I follow the leader it often starts spinning.
2.: I am using Ion Disruptor. If my Ion wave jumps to one of the patrol's ship(s) and it turns against me, I can't say 'Sorry. Weapon fire problem' and after we destroyed all the enemies in the sector, the patrol attacks me, and the leader says 'for up...' and my scanner targets the leader but a second later, the leader says 'attack' and the scanner targets my ship. And after this, my scanner target the leader and the leader say 'form up...' and this method never stops.

race military script problem

Hi folks! I have found that the race military script may not be functioning as it should. I was trying a military mission and we flew into Presidents end and the leader said to attack so he and I go after this khaakz cluster while the rest of the escort squad just hang around far from battle and even seem to be going away from it? Has anyone had this experience? Maybe I need to get out and push the rest of the squad into battle?

i have a weird problem with this i was in a patrol in the middle of a kha'ak invasion and a few wandering xenon ships every one in the patrol died except me i jumped out after everyone was slaughtered i get a message saying patrol failed you are flying to far away from the patrol the message was from the (DEAD)patrol leader
has anyone else had such an experience or is it just me

I have a slight problem in that I can't seem to find any Military missons. I joined up with the Argon Military and have been searching the Bulletin Boards but can't find any jobs. Do they only show up at the Military Shipyards or are they supposed to be on all stations (I've looked at both but just can't see any jobs)?
