At Noob2009 Yes its compatible, All Lucike's scripts are.
@Mathra no they actually have to buy to level up till they can sell. If the complex is full you will either have to manually go there and sell some goods, set up a seller or drop the price to below normal so that NPC's will (hopefully) come and start buying from you.
I normally set 2 cags to buy at my first few stations, and one ship using Trade mk2 to sell , then when the cags start selling i turn the seller into a new cag.

CAG's are basically Factory Support of the intelligent kind, EST is an intelligent Sector trader / Universal Trader.

CAG traders legal?
So far I have held off from installing any scripts/mods as I want to complete all the storylines vanilla, as in the way Egosoft designed us to do them from day one.
I'm pretty certain that in one of the official patches for Reunion Egosoft included the CAG traders and thus made them a legitimate trader, can someone from Egosoft please say if they intend to do the same with TC or if they consider the CAG traders to be an unfair advantage that slightly corrupts the way they envisage the game should be played please?

Are you not important enough to decide how your game should play? =P

Lol well yeah I'm important I guess but I don't really know what Egosoft had envisioned in their minds while they were planning the storylines in Terran ConflictHmmm. What about you?

My guess would be that, originally it just didn't occur to anyone whilst the game was being written, the devs had myriad other things to do... I don't know whether CAG came in with X2 or X3R.
Once the game was out and about in the modding community, some clever bugger (Lucike?) thought, "I know what'll work" - wrote the CAG script and that, as the saying goes, was that.
Whilst these scripts were included in the X3R bonus pack (which effectively gave them Egosoft's "seal of approval") they were still the "property" of the original developer and as they needed some tweaking for the new script engine to work in TC they couldn't be included in the vanilla release.
So it's not so much that the Egosoft devs deliberately excluded the bonus pack content from TC - more that they couldn't include it without working alongside the original developers... and they probably had half the XTM crew on short-term contract at the time

I remember Lucike mention, that he is not sure if the actual version of the CAG meets the rules for getting signed. This because of some new features like allowing them to jump into terran sectors and station to station credit transfers (since version 3.2.02).
But I think it's probably, that he will submit a version with this features disabled for signing, if the actual version won't be signed.

Re: CAG traders legal?
This looks very much like feedback&request about particular script for which there exists a thread. ***Merge***shireknight wrote:I'm pretty certain that in one of the official patches for Reunion Egosoft included the CAG traders and thus made them a legitimate trader, can someone from Egosoft please say if they intend to do the same with TC or if they consider the CAG traders to be an unfair advantage that slightly corrupts the way they envisage the game should be played please?

Firstly, i am loving this script as i did in X3R. It is a very useful tool for making station managing a bit more user friendly.
As in X3R im wanting to set up a training ground for pilots in small fast ships and then transfer them to a larger ship with jump capability but i cant seem to find the option to transfer a pilot to a new ship.
I have a couple of STs running and the option is available in the special command section, but in the CAGs special command slot there is no option available. I have tried stopping the CAG script, checking when in space and docked at a station but still no option available.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi nazza,
look in the trader settings:

Bought a bigger ship for your pilot? Use this command to transfer him into it. Both old and new ships must be docked at the same station. After choosing this command, a list of other ships with CAG pilots will appear. Choose the ship you wish to transfer to, the pilots will exchange ships, and bring along their profit record to the new ship.
