Technically, the HRT's were supposed to be 'disabled' on these ships, so you didn't get an almost free lunch.

Your supposed to PAY to fix them.

Might be why their bugged. Cause you used HRT's.

the problem is the way the turrents work on former AI ships.

just got into the turrent command and set them all to none, then you can set put your weapons on and set the commands to what you need them to be

I've noticed a distinct *lack* of BBS entries after installing 1.4.3. Namely, Assassin missions are scarce, even in the guild outpost. In fact, I went an outpost, and there wasn't a single assassin mission available. The 5 minutes before the patch, there were about 15 at the same station. All the other stuff is equally thin, cap ship offers, etc, etc. Even LV's HRT kit offers seem to be gone.

I *did* take out a few lines (the news stories/etc) from the file, but would that affect any add-ons at all?

removing some of the BBS entries shoudln't effect how the scripts get displayed.

i've not used 1.4.3 yet, im still using 1.4.2, ill have to install it and try it

I didn't think it would/should affect them. They've all but disappeared since I installed 1.4.3.

15? How do you get more than 8 bbs items to display? I think mine is broke.

Sorry, it wasn't meant to be taken literally. "About 15" means "a lot more than three". :) There were at least 10 tho.

Hi, don't know if this has already been addressed but can't find any reference to it in the previous 14 pages.

I was offered one of the damaged capital ships but the location (I'm assuming the sector) was given as "null" and then the x,y,z coordinates.

Anyone seen this before?

Thks,

Finchie

interesting, i've not seen that happen before, not sure how it gets a null sector.

as for the number of BBS, i think the most i've had in my game is about 40 at one station

Just a thought, I've not opened up all sectors yet (including the Yaki ones), could null refer to a sector not yet displayed in my universe map?

Also, I haven't installed the Extended Mod Pack - is that required?

Cheers,
Finchie

nop, EMP is not required for this script.

its possible null is onne of the unknown sectors or something, but usually it says unknown sector.

more likly the script had trouble finding a sector, but carried on running, if thats the case, it should be a fairly easy script

I've seen a couple of capital ship offers and they both had M6 varients. One of them was an Osprey sentinal but when I accepted it and got the ship it was no different from a normal Osprey, it's shield generator was 2650MW and it had 4x125MW shields.

I am running the DDRS ship mod but I also saw someone else in this thread mention an M6 varient.

Is this a bug?

Great script, Cycrow. Just downloaded v1.52, was wondering does the 'Goner jumpdrive dealer' conflict with LV's Jumpdrive kits plugin?

nope it shouldn't do, it just installs the standard jumpdrive to your ship when you buy it

M6 Variants listed in Pirate Base but Freight Scan shows normal ship stats

Post by warpdriver »

I agree with NeverSnake. I had a chance to buy an Osprey Raider at a pirate base, but when I scanned the ship just before the Yaki holed my Nemesis, the Osprey Raider showed it's top speed capacity at 81. It's not worth losing 15 million creds when I can buy the same ship without damage at a Teladi Ship Yard.

Which brings up a question. The uninstall program for the Xscript installer had an error. I'd like to know what which registry keys for the editor so I can clean up my windows xp registry.

Another question. Why does the Xscript installer need to access the internet?

well, the point of buying ships isn't to get them cheaper, its to allow you to buy them without the need for race rep, if you can already buy the ships from the shipyard then you dont need to buy them from pirates.

what was the error for the uninstaller ?

the main keys are,

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\X Script Managerl
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\XScript Installer.exe
HKCR\.sps
HKCR\.spb
HKCR\.spk
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\spk_auto_file
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\sps_auto_file
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\spb_auto_file

the xscript installer doesn't need access to the internet to run, but without you wont be able to use the program auto update or the package updater

Found the registry key for the .exe but the line below doesn't exist.

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\X Script Managerl

From what I can gather, the X Script installed itself, but didn't leave the information needed to uninstall itself. Not a biggie. Thanks for the help.
