When that fix and anything else for the update are ready. The whole point is to try to make it as good as they can before release which involves not just development but also testing, investigations, changes and restarting that testing cycle.

I hope this fix comes soon, haven't touched this game since this bug was revield.
Absolute gamebreaking bug for me.

Does this also affect station defense drones when OOS?

I've definitely noticed this attack bug with my game, but also sometimes defense drones that just seem to survive forever until i go personally squash them.

I always thought station defence drones only actually existed separately while in high attention to the player whether directly or remotely viewed, and for OOS combat they just add mathematically to the station defence value. I could be wrong now though.

They might be homeless defence drones after their station is destroyed and have nowhere to land.

I always thought the same too, and I think it's mostly true. I've only noticed it recently because Ill have my destroyers set up a coordinated attack on the station and then they all target the single drone first that is alive and wont seem to die even though it's fighting like 3 NPC destroyers in the area. So all my ships speed on down right next to a Xenon defense station in a NOT-coordinated fashion, trying to kill this drone, while getting the crap kicked out of them... the single drone is killing the coordinated attack setup.

Now, if I get in sector, then station starts pumping out drones like normal... and if I leave the area, the drones all pack up their toys and head back into the station, like normal. EXCEPT for a single drone or two that sticks around and screws up my coordinated attack... that drone was active before I got there, and it's active if I leave.

It's weird and I've only seen it in the last few days as my Teladi game I'm just now at the point where I can have my ships OOS take out Xenon defense stations. When they abandon their coordinated attack on the station to attack a drone first, if I didn't shave my head already, i'd be pulling my hair out. I'll be clearing out ZYA's north soon probably, so ill see if it happens more often. Might have to bug report it... or I'll see if I have a save from the last defense station it happened on.

I think the single drone launching in a low attention fight is due to the video comms. I've seen it happen to one of my ships recently that called me during a fight and then launched its own drone because the area was briefly loaded, I guess.

The splits are unable to resist the xenon threat, because they can't destroy the xenon defense station that encroach their spaces.

K and I have no forward guns and are not affected. Have also stopped playing because of this. Is this an older bug though because this seems like it might actually be an older bug and might explain why the Split are so ineffective against Xenon.

Stability is fine if that is what makes it fun for you. But I bet a lot of people find it more fun when it is not, myself included.

To the comment of how they cannot imagine this is game breaking - boy is that a limited imagination. To also link a video highlighting how this game is the "ultimate space sandbox" is just hilarious. If I just wanted to build an empire, the game stops as soon as I have a shipyard/wharf. Unlimited money achieved. But what if I want to find out where a faction has a gap in their economy and fill it? The main way factions within this sandbox interact with each other is conflict. If stations cannot be destroyed and systems cannot change hands then the whole sandbox is just on pause.

If you're having fun with the game, super. But maybe don't try and tell people they are having fun the wrong way.

The Yaki are not effected. Since they don't have capital ships, they attack in overwhelming force with Moreya and Kurokami. They have rather quickly destroyed the HAT HQ in my game recently.
