The game works pretty well for me already. Perhaps you have modified yours in some way such that it has become unstable? Nobody can really know for sure because you're really being quite vague about it all and will not provide a saved game - nobody asked you for your blood, sweat and tears. The car analogy provided above is apt: if you won't say what's wrong, and won't even let someone have a look at it, you cannot be helped. It would surely be much quicker to email it to egosoft than to continue to berate people who are really treating you quite civilly. I'm not a remotely frequent poster here - I just browse the forum from time to time - but if you think people are 'blasting' you, I suggest you simply reread the thread without assuming that people are being confrontational.
Anyway, if I get 20 hours of entertainment out of a game I spent €50 on, that's pretty sound value for money.

The car analogy is a joke! If you bought a car and it didn't work, wouldn't you want your money back to get one that does?
How can anyone defend this practice without informing customers ahead of time? Isn't this a serious integrity issue? I realize it is not with any of you because you knew ahead of time. I wasn't. Now it is 14 F*CKING months and it still is broken.
My original post WAS SPECIFIC! NO - My game has not been modded. I have reinstalled and started a new game. This game is BORKED! The BETA is BORKED!
They have ripped off many people who also didn't know they were getting an unfinished product, the boards were originally full of complaints. But all you ever hear is "This is how Egosoft does it." It is not how an honest company would do it. There are ways to pre-fund a project with the understanding that developement must first occur, Kickstarter for one.
Egosoft took the dishonest route in funding their income and should be ashamed. They lied by not concealing the true state of the product, and they continue lying with their silence. If you are OK with that then fine! I'm not.
Allow me to quote the Steam store page-
"Building space stations and factories has always been a foundation of the X games. After gaining enough money through fighting or trading, most players want to establish their own economy and start influencing the universe on a larger scale. In X4, it is now possible to be completely free and creative. Stations can be constructed from a variety of modules, be it production modules, living sections, docks or many other types of parts. The powerful new map system allows you to drag and connect modules using a connection system to design your own unique creations."
It doesn't work. The economy is still broken and the "powerful new map system" has giant question marks all over it. It's baffles me how this community can be so blind and even defensive about all these issues, AFTER 14 MONTHS!
The only way to justify acceptance of this crime is if your mommies gave you the money to pay for this. Then you're really not out anything, eh?

Gah, I must admit if my game was doing what yours was, I'd be apoplectic. I've been playing X games since X2, and Egosoft have endured a fair bit of cussing from me over that time. - I still want to hunt down and gut whoever it was who had Mass Driver bullets in X2 which took so much processor power it froze the game whenever you used them. (Admittedly they hotfixed that one overnight!)
Thing is, I'm not seeing what you are in my game, I don't think. (Great rig you got, by the way.) - So what I've done is uploaded a video of my current game (playing right now) - and a link to a save last night.
Here's the save: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnoYsE1M89YrvnVay_G ... A?e=MtSXRV
The video only shows my buy offers in map view because I've filtered it that way. (Currently building a station in Argon Prime, so trying to find supplies for my build storage.)
Anyhow, Video: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AnoYsE1M89YrvnYzkl4 ... w?e=2kHpE3
Do you want to post a video of in game for you too, so we can compare?
Selfish angle for me: I'm gonna give me old mum (aged 82) my gaming rig (she loves FPS games like Doom and Quake) and buy an I9, likely next month, and I'd love to know how it performs. - In Scale Plate VII, where all my factories are, I drop to 20 FPS on a megastation when the map is open. - I would love to know what it'd be like with an I9 9900!

Re: Getting frustrated!
The question marks first appeared in the Beta version issued last week, were spotted by a beta tester the next day, and have already been fixed for the next Beta. That is a sign that the Beta process is working exactly as it's supposed to, not that the game is completely broken.
The other problems you mention (but don't describe fully enough for us to identify, or do anything about) may or may not be issues. Some reports that people provide turn out to be misunderstandings (for example ships not having sufficiently skilled captains, or not having the right equipment), some intended behaviour, but of course others to be genuine issues that we can and do address.
Nobody is being dishonest. We acknowledged in a sticky thread at the top of the forum that there were more issues with the game that we would have liked at release, and set out a plan to solve them (and to add more features in the process). We have been following that plan and will continue to do so.
Now, since you have chosen to respond to the personal attacks in kind, I will take you up on your suggestion to lock this thread.
