If the next DLC includes the Terrans, does that mean we could conquer earth?

Technically every sector in the game is 99.99% empty....I'd like to have at least one sector that's just 90% empty.

I really can't hear this big sector nonsense the devs are claiming anymore tbh. It's like yea you can go past the initial border...but the value of that is currently questionable AT BEST.

And just having one sector at max standard zoom-out size and actually have it filled with a full economic loop should be very possible...after all players have been building self sufficient Megastations that produce every good in the game...so it ought to be possible to have one huge sector that is just filled to the brim with stuff...and not just 2-10 small factories....and for Terrans this even makes sense...earth lovers n all.

Background 3D entities like planets are pretty much 1:1 scale to the real world (or atleast close) meaning a SOL mega sector would be impossible, travel drive or not.

Don't quote me on this but wasn't this related to vanilla and its patches? A Terran DLC would be the best way to also include these systems and just merge them into existing factions while porting some of their ship designs as new ship classes to the inheriting faction replacing some of the sentinel/vanguard laziness you yourself pointed out.

I've flown to a few of the backdrops and some of these are like 60000km or more away.

I'm quite sure that makes it very much possible to make a megasector. Simply move the backdrop far enough away. If the sector has a black hole you definitely need it to be far enough anyway. A gas giant could be 100000 km or more away and still be peeeeerfectly visible.

Edit: I'll stop discussing this in this thread though since I have kind of gone off topic and I dont want to derail it.

Fictional solutions are already in place (like being able to travel to "backdrops"). I think we should leave real measures out of the discussion. A gas giant could have a 100000km equatorial radius (e.g. Jupiter is ~70000km)!

It would just look massive and occupy the whole space of a sector. It could be nice to have a sector like this, but won't solve the problem of a "megasector" (covering every Terran sectors as someone suggested) because it would just be impossible to fly between planets with a travel drive (e.g. Eart-Jupiter minimal distance is ~600 MILLIONS of km).

More on topic, given what I've said just before, I fell that we won't be able to "conquer" Earth per se, maybe its sector.
