There's a new option at mechanic's, called "WEAPON MODIFICATIONS". It's empty. Explanation needed?

Also, the SETA - how to get it? The key doesn't do anything.
How to access the jumpdrive?

There's a new difficulty, called "VERY HARD". What does it offer?

The font is a different colour so you may not have seen it, depending on your forum colour. These two items are not yet implemented at this stage in the beta cycle.

There's some new droppable loot; I suspect the JD & possibly SETA will be craftable from these items when implemented..

Crafting? Maybe they haven't implemented the items yet.

The new 'Ship for Sale' mission looks interesting; I wonder if it applies to capships as well?..

SETA do works, at least for me a new unmodded game.

You have got to talk to a station trader (equipment vendor),, and if it sells Singulary Engine Accelerators, just buy one, then you press J while flying, and voilá. What I like of this seta is that it accelerates, but its not exagerated things run smooth still, or so it seems in a new game.

About economy stats, mechanic sells a device for them, but since its a new game I am trying haven't bought it yet, will try and see if indeed it still does not work.

Performance seems amazing now, will keep observing.

Oh! and there is something new too, Weapon Mods! I already looted one!

I've looted a few damaged ones; sounds to me as if either the <crafting> bit isn't correctly enabled yet or that's pure SETA, not jumpdrive

Noticed & I'm waiting too; I don't think it'll have much impact on my playstyle, but I'll pick it up at the next discount sale (I'm halfway through plot, so still another 40% mechanic discount available when I get that far..) & see what happens..

Hmm.. have you got the full mod or just the Xenon parts?

If you take a look at the Skunk's inv there are also new options for 'modifications' or similar (sorry, don't have the game open right now), giving stats on bonuses. ATM I'm halfway thru the plot with no (official) access yet to OL, so I don't have access to 'standard' Mk2 weps. /However/ there's a Mk2 Plasma 'upgrade' looking as though it's available that I haven't tried yet..

Not the 4.0 I was expecting. Don't get me wrong though, new features are always good, but nothing that really stood out and got me excited.

Was hoping to see something in the line of Universal trade range, Build your own Shipyards or even a Capital Ship Bridge would of been enough to get me excited. :(

Yeah, I'm hoping that stuff might be added or be in the expansion.

Current changes really don't do much to actually enhance the core game.

@spankahontis: Same here, but read a few post above - weapon modification and new ship sales missions was not listed - this means there might be some more interesting stuff added as Beta will progress.

Yeah, quite surprising move adding in SETA and jump drive. Not on top of my wish list, but I can see that many who stopped playing XR might have missed does features, among others.

Still, there are some good improvements and weapon modifications sounds promising. More Skunk specializations and more useful drones, and the one ship thing would not bother me much. Curious about the "very hard" mode as well. Anyone tried it out yet?

Well, hopefully I can try out some of the additions later today.
