It's a bit late, but I just got home so I'm downloading the update now.

Had an whole large Dominos pizza to myself earlier, so will likely skip the pancakes this evening :)

I've actually got pancake mix and cornsyrup here. Not used em yet. 8)

ok, haven't played for a bit and am not able to update anything atm. can anyone tell me if the skunk still stops dead when on manual pilot mode whenever getting the map up? This is something I detest. I am beginning to think they can't do it ever, and has something to do with not being able to display the skunk's position on the map in actual flight, so it stops every time or something like that.

Seems you haven't played for more than a bit then :P , the option to keep the Skunk moving has been added already in 2.5 at least as far as I remember :wink:

Would not make much sense anyway to not being able to update the map, since you could open the map and see the Skunk flying around the cluster while in a highway, already in 1.0...

Take it as a rule of thumb, don't think there's anything that can't be done ever...it would take an entire release note of its own to list the things people sentenced as "not possible to change ever" a year ago, and where actually changed/added/removed :)

Yeah, hi there Aken, thanks, and you are right as I have not played since 2.5.1 or something, but is this option you mention, is it enabled through the options menu?

from memory I know the ship continues flying during auto pilot, but I'm talking about the ship still stopping while on manual flight mode, by which I mean when it is not on auto pilot "fly to". (Sorry, I can't confirm, as I don't have access to my gaming PC atm, due to being away from home for the last month or so).

but if that's been fixed then great to hear.

The Skunk will continue to fly in space or highways, with or without autopilot, when we open menus and the map.

I think Yisha is an attention whore.

She even managed to secretly install robotic parts to Ren's neck so he has to turn his head when she's yappin'.

Furthermore Ren dies instantly when Yisha does, they might have some mystical stuff going on..

I remember chilling at the back of Skunk, talking to crew, without noticing a giant Xenon warship coming.

Never died while docked in my career of 410 hours.
Well, only if I was docked at a capship, and it got destroyed with me aboard.

In previous versions, the Skunk can be destroyed when you are inside a station.

Very interesting. I really didn't like how boarding was big money for little investment and risk. Factoring hull percent into sale price also helped, so I hope it's properly balanced now.

Must admit, I have hoped that they'd eventually introduce marine attrition during boarding ops. I.e. the play WILL always lose one or two marines per attempt, experience of each marine and the controlling Marine Officer being a factor of course.

Still, in my now 200+ hr game, I capture for fun rather than needing to to save money, so will test out boarding in B7 as soon as I am able.

Incredible work on this 3.0 patch. Every new changelog iteration is almost a full patch unto itself. I hope people go back and re-review this game with an open mind come full release.
