If you're ever actually IN Newcastle I wouldn't voice that opinion out loud...a visit to the hospital can really spoil a day out.boogyman wrote:No offence intended with this one but i have heard a saying up here that people from Newcastle are just Scots that got a little lost and ended up in England.
It might just be a Glasgow thing though.

You must know different Geordies to the ones I do, then...robroy wrote:no it's a newcastle thing i got geordie mates (allways contracting down here in london) and they have all told me a Geordie is just a scotsman with his brains bashed in! a few others have told me this i sorta expect it now when i meet a geordie

Its context, i think, its ok for them to say to me cause im a scot but if i were to say to them then yeah it would be not very funny, nevertheless i can say that allmost every person i meet from newcastle tells me this strange fact, so i can only assume it's a newcastle thing.
I got lost once when driving back to scotland ended up in newcastle drove over that bridge over the tyne there was no fog though, nice city friendly
got home eventually.

O.K. O.K. O.K. Let's get back to the real question at hand. Does anyone even care about X2 anymore? Star Wars Galaxies will be out sometime very shortly after Christmas and a ton of other games will be available during the holidays as well.
I think that an upcoming game only has so much time to be hyped before people begin to NOT care. Look at DNF (Duke Nukem Forever) or Freelancer, or even Elite IV...
The biggest problem that egosoft has right now is its inability to disseminate information regarding its game. I know that we're all busy. I know that we all want them to spend time on making a great game. But how long would it take to write a one-pager every week? Something that says, "This is where we are, this is what we're doing, this is what needs done..."
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Sorry, I gues my biggest gripe is that very little information is being given out. When there is no news for 60 days at a time I start to assume that they have done NOTHING for 60 days.
Every job I've ever had I've always reported to the boss. Every week if not every day. In a product oriented business such as this the customer IS boss. Therefore no progress report = no progress.
O.K. I care a little...
