happy to see my backgrounds work in TC
I was unsure becouse seome use an X2 model wich was there in Reunion's files but not in TC.
I'm impressed by the suns...how did you make them: TFlares only or some new texture?
the first planet culd be used also as a model for a very near sun, by adding the proper flare around...

Hi mate, glad you like it, the suns are a bit of a mixed bag, firstly i found a cat file that was in my reunion folder, i treid that in tc and it worked, it had about 13 new suns and some backgrounds, the background wouldn't work properly when i reloaded a save game, so i've used the suns.Realspace wrote:happy to see my backgrounds work in TC![]()

the bigger suns are in fact stock planets from tc, ther are three in total, like in the first and forth pics, the one in the ninth pic is agaian another one of those planets, ste at quite a large distance, with a normal sun set in the same location, thus giving a nice effect. (albiet a bit of a cheat)

i was wondering if you have any nice planet material? (maybe of the unusual/distinct kind

TBH I wasnt sure where they came from, all i know that the mod had 13 new suns, and two lots of new backgrounds, 'mix1' and 'mix2'.
I have put up a post on this matter as i was seeking permission to use these suns in this mod.

very little, but i dont have a really good system, but i do get a slght improvement, better systems may get a larger increase.WildAce wrote:have you noticed any perf. improvements by making the sectors larger?
one would that that if things are spread out more perf. would go up form not having to display so many stations in higher detail.
If you look at the initial post you will see a progress thingy, I'm about 70-75% complete for the initial phase of increasing sector size and altering backgrounds. but hopefully you will see summit in the next few weeks.StratonAce wrote:Wow, this is looking very nice. When do you think this might be finished? Because I'd really like to try it out.

Dude, these pics brought tears to my eyes
Sooooooooooo awsome!
I don't know how much you can modify the backround (the nebulas), but is it possible to - make - a black hole (or neutron star IIRC) that's sucking the matter of a star? Or EVE-ish clouds? (Reeeallyyyy love them).
But this mod is a download for sure!

You will be plaesed to know that the initial version (which is just the background changes and sector size changes) should be ready and the next few weeks.
The next stage will probably be the addition of some extra stations and 'stuff', and a probable edit to the jobs files.
As for the blackhole stuff, well that is something that i'm gonna have to learn how to do, if anyone can point me in the right direction (i.e. an idiots guide) that would be apprieciated.

Say CBJ's name out loud 3 times, clap 3 times and he'll appear and help you. Or writte him a pm, altough he'll be a bit grumpy. 3rd option: as you said, someone please link a tutorial.spacefueladdict wrote: if anyone can point me in the right direction (i.e. an idiots guide) that would be apprieciated.

Hell, you have some amazing low-orbit sectors there. I wouldn't mind at all taking one of those voer for myself
Great job, very impressive, I'll sure try this whenever it's ready. The only one thing I didn't like is the redistributin of the Terran stations; keep inmind that we humans have a cubical ideal of order; thus meaning we like things in a row and aligned; I'm sure if they could, Terrans would buidl their stations more organized and alligned to a 2D/3D-"axisized" view.
But I do love most of the new sectors, more variation and impressive-looking.
