Nor does it exclude this type of feature in the future, X Rebirth is clearly capable of supporting something like this where as in X3 its a non-starter. That's the power of this new cycle of X Universe, Egosoft has really addressed some much needed changes to the core of the game not superficially bolted more things on.
I think its natural as a player seeing that potential and asking about these type of features.

I'd say it was somewhat unlikely that we'd have a Russian translation done for that date, and even more unlikely that we'd have Russian voice acting then. Based on past experience, a Russian translation is highly likely at some point in the future and we know that Russian publishers are keen on providing Russian voice acting for such translations. What is less clear at this stage is when this would be likely to be ready for release.
Note, however, that whichever language version you buy, you will normally get access to translations to other languages as and when they are released. This means that if you are keen to play from day one, you should be able to buy the English version and then switch to Russian when it becomes available.
In Steam says Russian text and voice .. I mean, that it will ever be, or both?

I had a bad news for you then - almost all Russian publishers are closed down. Only 1C remains, but I dunno if they are still in gaming business =)
And... Really - you'd better ask community about that - quality would be waaay better.
The one ship thing, especially as its the Argon Stink was what turned me off the game.
I have however been keeping up with information in case there were changes or it was confirmed that mods could change this.
The information Bernd posted has re-affirmed my not pre-ordering or even buying the game.
I play the X games as a pilot, I pilot the ship required for the job at the time. I may own more than one ship but if it isn't the one I am flying then it stays docked at a station. The only stations I build are solar power plants at intervals across the map for refuelling.
I don't build a massive empire or command vast fleets of ships. This is how I play.
So the changes to trading are another turn off. Trading by speaking to people how quaint. The future sounds like a chore.
No map, how are we to navigate.
The skunk is upgradeable but isn't going to change drastically, better hope mods can change this.
The descriptions so far are making the game sound like a spreadsheet with a nice background. You tell the AI to do something and leave it doing it, sorry but that completely kills my immersion.
This game sounds like it has fixed some issued that weren't broken.

I have a few questions but I will start with this. Are you able to use the COMM system (or whatever it is called that you use to command your captains) while docked on a station or Capital ship? So essentially, can you be docked on one of your Capital ships and use the COMM system to command that ship to do things?

Phew that is a very specific scenario. Most conversations can actually be opened anytime including while you are docked. But this is not the scenario I consider typical. Most of the time you are in your ship in space and send commands from there (or receive calls from pilots or managers and react to them).

So...even though it is not typical... can we do it?

The honest answer is: I think so, but I have to try it out first.
I think you can talk to the captain, you just can't give orders. I am thinking maybe this is because the actual orders themselves are a separate kind of interaction and maybe direct communication doesn't have this kind of interaction, dont know.
I don't really get why it's a very specific situation for Bernd though - maybe he sees the observation deck as a purely cosmetic thing (besides that it'll let you go with the ship when it jumps) - but for me it seems pretty natural that if you're on board a capital ship you'd be able to radio the captain and tell him something!

I answered you a couple pages ago, but I'll repost it:
Re capital ship docking: Yes you can land on them, yes you can even stand on platforms on those ships while they are flying which looks super cool, but no you can not be in a room just to command the ship because that would just slow down the process of playing unnecessarily.

But it doesn't say observation deck enywhere. In point of fact you can be in the hangar bay, and looking through window or massive transparent shield or something door of the hangar.

Land ON them, not docking. We can dock, but without an observation deck and no bridge. When we land on them we can walk on the hull.
