In X-Universe Plugin Manager Lite V1.20 (which I am using), it displays my launch X3 button as my correct version, Run: X3 Terran Conflict V2.7.1.

What you're saying to try is updating Plugin Manager to 1.30?

UPDATE:

I installed V1.30 Beta 14 of the Plugin Manager and it seemed to install these packages fine.

Now I seem to have the same problem others have mentioned in the previous posts.

The wares themselves show up in a separate category at the Argon ED, with a volume of 10,000, and the entries are blank.

When I bought all 4 and used your Cheat Menu to "Remove selected wares" they show up at the top of the list as "(1 in bay)" with no further description. As for actually functioning, I didn't get a chance to test that.

I also installed 1.3 RC 14 (I think)...and it seems to install inspite of getting error message saying it requires 2.5...I however do not get the error of no description and volume being 10,000...I get item description as it should be for the 4 items and volume as 1. Cost is really high...but I think that is intentional.

When I install the spk I get the error message saying wrong version requires TC 2.5 and the file does NOT show up as being installed. If I close the installer and reopen it the file shows up as being installed.

When I use the jumpdrive it does the COUNTDOWN or increased percentage and does not jump immediately. I have the advanced jumpdrive and the regular jumpdrive equiped. Even when I used the Adv. Jumpdrive command I get the countdown. Downloaded and installed both Adv Jumpdrive spk's. Have all 4 items so the jump should have been immediatel.

With my issue the blank entries only cost 28 Cr. I thought my Ware Manager might be an issue, as I had installed it previously for another script so I reinstalled that, but no luck.

I am using a host of other scripts:

Improved Races - 14.25/R14 RC25

Chem String Functions Lib - 2.97

Larry: The advanced jumpdrive on its own does have a countdown like normal, but it doesn't use any energy cells.

if you want to remove the countdown, you need to install the Advanced Jumpdrive Accelerator, its a seperate ware

Wilson, the blank entries usually mean u dont have the correct wares file.
did u close the plugin manager before running the game, also, does the file twaret.pck exist in the types directory for your game ?
finally, are you using any mods that have .cat files ?

  • Added wing command to jump all ships in a wing if they have the advanced jumpdrive installed
  • Added plugin for Advanced Navigation, can use FTL drive when moving to position with Advanced Navigation
  • Fixed Advanced Jumpdrive Countdown sync

I usually launch the game from the Run button on the Plugin Manager. It closes then opens a new instance of itself while the game is running.

The types file is there.

I have no idea if any other scripts I have created .cat files, but I had 12 .cats/.dats prior to installing X3 Unleashed earlier today which required me to drop a .cat and .dat into the main directory and rename them to 13 (or last .cat/.dat).

ok, could u send me a copy of that file so i can check it out.

either theres an error in the file somewhere preventing it from loading properly, or something else is overriding it, so the wares are missing from the game

Ok. I may have failed to say that I have the Jumpdrive Accelerator on the ship in question. OH....I downloaded 1.2 and the countdown does not take place anymore...

However when I jump to a position using either the jump to position or move to position -- it jumps me to the CENTER of the sector and then sometimes jumps me (with the countdown) to the position I wanted to jump to directly--not very safe when the sector is XENON. I tried dock at station it jumpted me to the center of the correct sector and then was sending me via regular travel to the jumpgate not to the station I wanted to dock at.??? I did not try yet jumping my fleet just my ship.

Well now I'm stumped! I installed your latest version of these scripts and the wares were fixed! I didn't change any other scripts, so I don't know what the issue was.

I do still have a question on how to make your ships jump automatically energy free. I thought they were supposed to monitor you and jump to your sector when you jumped?

Do you have to add them to your wing? I usually leave my other capital ships without a wing so I can set each one's turrets, missile launch, etc. to specific roles.

Right now I'm using Adv. Jump Menu, "Jump to me" for each one, but I can see this being an issue if I jump into a fight and need their support most riki tik.

UPDATE:

Sorry for my ignorance. I played around with this and put them all into a wing with myself. Now I just give the wing a jump command and we all jump together, energy free.

They don't actually monitor the players ship

There is the autojump command which watchs its command console. So if u tell the ship to fly to a sector for example. It'll intercept the command and jump there instead of fly

The replacement script addon replaces the normal jump command with the advanced one. So if the ship was told to jump it'll use the advanced jump drive instead of the normal one

Another way to do what you want is to set the ships to follow of protect your ship and enable autojump. So whe. You jump to another sector they follow you to the sector using ygr auto jump

Or just using jump to me on the wing if u just want to do it manually

Hi Cycrow,

I just tried to update the "Advanced Jumpdrive" from V1.01 to V1.20. The install failed (silently). Next I tried the SPK Explorer to manually extract the files, this failed as well with uncompression errors. Installing V1.01 again works.

I can also install other packages such as "Salvage Claim Software"

I am using Plugin Manger Lite V1.20 (MS-Win 7 64bit)

"Advanced Navigation Software" (V1.20) fails in the same manner.

Any idea what is going wrong (both SPK's have recently been modified) :?:

The problem is I forgot to set the compression for the files so its using the new lzma compession from 1.30 so u need 1.30 to install it

Hi Cycrow,

I just installed V1.30 of the package manager. Re-installer de SPK's. Almost everything works:

"View readme" works for all packages except "Advanced Jumpdrive" (V1.20) and "Advanced Navigation Software" (V1.20).

"Check for update" works, but for "Advanced Jumpdrive" and "Advanced Navigation Software" it says "Same" instead of "No Update".

Ingame I now have three wares that do not show properly:

ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM12_9
ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM13_12
ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM14_15

Any Idea to which package(s) these wares belong (maybe I forgot to install something)?

got the everything installed ok the jumpdrive appears to be working fine but got one issue

the 4 new wares are showing up with the wrong name
ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM16_12
ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM18_12
ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM17_15
ZA_EMP_BLANK_WARE_CUSTOM19_15

After looking at the ADV Jumpdrive setup script I see that the names there are the same.

Is this intended? If so, then why, when i use your cheat script to add ware (to my ship,) the ADV Jumpdrive wares are there with the proper names (Advanced Jumpdrive, Advanced Jumpdrive Accelerator, FTL Jumpdrive Extention and Jumpdrive Components)

Using 1.20 of the ADV Jumpdrive and 1.30 beta16 of the plugin manager

Oddly enough it started working earlier today (at least as far as i can tell) however the Jumpdrive Energy Generator is missing from the station (which isnt a huge deal as I have the Advanced Jumpdrive).

However there are 2 new odd-name wares that have appeared, and I have no idea how to track down where they are from.

ZZ_EMP_MOD_USE_ONLY6_1

As I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary (or broken) I'm not exactlty in a rush to figure out the mystery wares. Loving the ADV Jumpdrive + FTL mode :)

I too am having issues. At first I thought it was some compatibility issue with other plugins, but I don't think so anymore. Went back and reinstalled everything with only minimal alterations applied.

Installed:

1) X3TC v2.7.1 (steam version... don't think it should matter, though)
2) X-Universe Plugin Manager Lite v1.20
-----Ware Manager v1.01
-----Hotkey Manager v1.11
-----Cheat Colletion Package v1.60
-----Advanced Jumpdrive v1.2
-----Adv. Jumpdrive Overrides v1.0

Unlocked script editor, ran cheat program to access all items, but absolutely no sign of an "Advanced Jumpdrive".

What item am i suppose to look for and why isn't this working? :?


UPDATE/EDIT: Removing the Adv. JD overrides and using v1.3beta of the plugin manager lite seems to have fixed my problem. The description of the "Override" plugin is a little vague. Does it also remove the Advanced Jumpdrive and upgrade the "regular" jumpdrive to have the same advanced functions?

Minor update on other issues:

I don't think this is compatible with the EMP (spk version). Found this out when i also tried to load the Emergency Transporter Extension (which requires the emp.spk). When both are loaded, Adv. Jumpdrives only shows 2 of the 4 items properly (i think... can't remember how many exactly). It gets a naming error, showing up as "ZA EMP-something-or-other" in the trade list. When I uninstall the emp.spk, Adv. Jumpdrives works as intended, but now the ETE plugin has the same problem.

Doesn't the Plugin manager include some EMP script in it? If so, why doesn't ETE load properly without the EMP.spk?

Im having a different problem

Using the normal spk file, with the plugin manager, I install the script, but it never shows up in-game.

I thought it might be a copying problem, so I tried extracting it with the spk explorer to insert the scripts manually, but it comes up with "error extracting files".


I have admin privileges on the computer so that shouldnt be the problem

I have tried redownloading the file, but it doesnt seem to be helping either- the file size is 92.5kB is that correct??
