Heh, happens to the best of us.eladan wrote:Ok - what did I find out? Not much except that I'm an idiot.
I went into the script editor to find the debug script, and noticed that the version on all of the script files was 106. I could have *sworn* I installed 1.09...![]()
So. I installed 1.09, and this time made sure that it WAS 1.09, and tested it. I'm guessing the pathfinding might have been a known problem in 1.06? 'Coz I'm not seeing the problem anymore.![]()
Sorry about the false bug report Burianek. The good news is that now I can use the script!

Glad it's running fine for you now. If you have any specific commentary, please let us know.
(and yeah, pathfinding was a known issue in 1.06, ships kept getting assigned null destinations and stuck in K.E.

Cheers.

Nope, there are no plans to put functionality of that sort into this script. This script just organizes your transports.
There's no reason why you couldn't run a script like that seperately on the station though. (Provided someone wants to develop it) A script like that shouldn't conflict with this one. The transports recheck the price set at the homebase upon entering every sector (and again right before trading at the destination station) so if there's another script automatically adjusting prices, it will be picked up by the traders.
Cheers.

Since Burianek didn't mind if i post a link to another script i'll use the oppurtunity
The SMS script has been rewritten/adapted by a german scripter and is available in a german version in this thread http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=127346
Maybe if you ask nicely he will provide a translated version.
I haven't been using the script myself and you should check for conflicts with other scripts as the english reservations are not always in the view of the german scripters :=)

A few notes from the readme:
Cheers.
Is it one of those things?Traders will only buy resources if your station is less than 90% full, and will only sell products if your station is more than 10% full.
In order for your traders to be able to see the ware prices within a sector, you must have a satellite, ship, or station in the sector to be scanned (this is shown by a green border around the sector in the galaxy map). Your ships will not visit sectors where they cannot see the ware prices. You can use this to your advantage. If you don't want traders to visit sectors because you think they might not be safe, do not put any satellites or ships in those sectors, and your traders will not look for stations to trade at within them.
Cheers.

Could someone please help me set this damn thing up? I have 4 ships supplying my 1mj shield factory. I add the ships to my station, and their current order's go to "station automate" or something close to that. I then set the prohibit resources so that each ship is only doing one resource(ore/meatsteaks/e-cells/shields. I then set jump distance(3). I check to see that each ship is assigned only one resource. Then, after about 30 seconds, the "station manager:automate" command within my station has gone back to "none". All my ships "current orders" has also gone back to "none". All the ships do is dock with my station, then undock, but with no commands. What am I doing wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciate. Thanks

Edit: What are the various "slots" for?

Do you have Sats set up?
It sounds like you are starting the automate on the station in a certain slot, then 'reusing' that slot to do something else, like add ship. When you reuse a slot, the one that was running will naturally be replaced with the one you are about to run. Try doing it over again, and after the automate has started in a slot, use different, unused slots to add ships and etc. Don't worry, these don't use up slots, they go right back to free when done.

Hi, and thanks for the reply. I take it the station manager will run until terminated, correct? You are right, I was reusing the same slot at first, but went to a different slot after that. My problem seems to be when i attempt to prohibit resources. As long as I let them do their own thing, it runs fine. If I attempt to have one ship only worry about one resource, it messes up. Any ideas?AalaarDB wrote:Do you have Sats set up?
